Provided is an adsorption filter structure, and more specifically, an adsorption filter structure with easy detachment and increased filter efficiency. The adsorption filter structure includes a filtration unit passing external air through an internal space in a filtration direction, and filtering the external air, an external vent and an internal vent, and the helmet to which the adsorption filter structure is applied includes a protection unit into which the adsorption filter structure is interpolated and the external air entrance hole is formed, a neck packing part, a nose cast, and an exhalation port. Accordingly, the helmet, including the adsorption filter structure, is designed to be easily detached without protrusion so that a wearer's field of vision is secured, wherein the adsorption filter structure that is not restricted in actions during work is applied. The adsorption layer, the filtration layer, and the shielding layer are stacked therein so as to exhibit optimal efficiency, and thus the filtration efficiency is increased.

A helmet may include a cooling device coupled thereto, where the cooling device may include a fluid absorbing material that is sufficiently porous to facilitate airflow therethrough positioned within an air intake scoop. The air intake scoop may include a basin formed in part by a front edge of the air intake scoop and by a rear barrier in the air intake scoop. At least one vent aperture located behind the rear barrier. A fluid absorbing material may be disposed within at least a portion of the air intake scoop. At least one drainage aperture may be positioned within a sidewall of the air intake scoop and located at least partially below a top surface of the rear barrier.

A helmet that includes vents in the shell and removable plugs that may be positioned in the vents to provide an airtight seal while maintaining the aerodynamic shape of the helmet. The vent has an outer vent opening in the outer wall surface of the shell and an inner vent opening in the inner wall surface of the shell. The plug includes a resilient lower surface and an upper surface opposite the resilient lower surface. The resilient lower surface has a lower peripheral lip that compresses when the plug is pushed through the outer vent opening and the inner vent opening and that subsequently expands after the lower peripheral lip passes through the inner vent opening so that the lower peripheral lip engages a portion of the inner wall surface of the shell. The upper surface has an upper peripheral lip configured to conform to a portion of the outer wall surface of the shell when the plug is inserted in the vent.

A system and method include a duct including an internal air passage. One or more ultraviolet (UV) light emitters are coupled to the duct. The UV light emitter(s) are configured to emit UV light into air that passes through the internal air passage. An air inlet is coupled to the duct. The air inlet is in fluid communication with the internal air passage. An air outlet is coupled to the duct. The air outlet is in fluid communication with the internal air passage. A blower is disposed within the duct. The blower is configured to draw the air into the internal air passage through the air inlet, and discharge the air from the internal air passage through the air outlet. The air is disinfected within the internal air passage by the UV light emitted by the one or more UV lights. A sensor is coupled to one or more of the duct, the air inlet, or the air outlet. The sensor is configured to output signals. A control unit is in communication with the UV light emitter(s), the blower, and the sensor. The control unit is configured to receive the signals from the sensor and control one or both of the UV light emitter(s) or the blower based on the signals.
