Automatic retention apparatus
An apparatus for automatically adjusting tension on retention member to hold multiple objects together. Examples include using retention apparatus to obtain optimal fit and use of a human wearable item such as article of footwear. Sensors may be used to sense changes in movement of the article of footwear, of the person wearing it, or of a third object such as a vehicle carrying the person. A retention member may surround at least a portion of the objects, and an actuator may be included that automatically rotates a rotating member such as a gear or pulley that may be coupled to the retention member. The rotating member may be configured to automatically adjust tension on the retention member many times per second based on control signals from control logic responsive to the sensors.
Adjustable and dual-suspension boot levers
Adjustable and/or dual-suspension boot levers for hardshell boots, having upper parts and lower parts that rotate relative to one another, are disclosed. Adjustable boot levers disclosed herein are adjustable along a continuum or at one of a plurality of preset positions on a lever to provide a forward-lean angle customizable to a user's preferences. Dual-suspension boot levers provide fore-aft dampening and are also customizable by selection of appropriate elastic materials and properties for use in the forward-lean and backward-lean suspension devices. In some embodiments, adjustability and dual-suspension are combined in a boot lever design.
Alpine or mountaineering ski boot with improved ski-walk mechanism
A ski boot composed of a lower part or foot portion and an upper part or leg portion, suitable to enclose the lower part of the skier's leg, wherein the leg portion is hinged to the foot portion so as to rotate with respect to the foot portion around hinges defining a rotation axis. The leg portion comprises a closing lever suitable to block and/or unblock selectively the rotation of the leg portion with respect to the foot portion, and operatively connected to a base and an arm engageable in abutment against a pin fixed to the foot portion. The closing lever in the open configuration mutually moves the base and the arm away from each other forcing the latter against the pin to prevent a rotation of the leg portion backwards. The boot comprises traction means which operatively connect the base, the arm, and a fastening on the foot portion, the arm being placed between the base and the fastening. Said traction means comprise a cable at least partially extensible.
SKI BOOT, MORE PARTICULARLY BOOT FOR SKI MOUNTAINEERING
A ski boot of the kind comprising a substantially rigid outer shell and a cuff articulated to the shell is provided and further includes a locking device which can be switched between a first configuration, in which the rotation of the cuff relative to the shell is allowed, and a second configuration, in which the rotation of the cuff relative to the shell is prevented. The locking device of the ski boot also includes deadlocking means which prevents the locking device from being accidentally moved from the configuration in which it is, specifically when it is in the second configuration.
Ski boot, in particular boot for ski touring
A ski boot is provided of the type including a substantially soft inner liner, a substantially rigid outer shell and a cuff articulated to the shell, and further including a spoiler articulated to the shell and arranged between the inner liner and the cuff. The ski boot includes a locking device for selectively allowing or preventing rotation of the cuff relative to the shell and, at the same time, for selectively allowing or preventing the movements of the spoiler relative to the cuff, and consequently also relative to the shell.
Automatic retention apparatus

Examples include using retention apparatus to obtain optimal fit and use of a human wearable item such as article of footwear. Sensors may be used to sense changes in movement of the article of footwear, of the person wearing it, or of a third object such as a vehicle carrying the person. A retention member may surround at least a portion of the objects, and an actuator may be included that automatically rotates a rotating member such as a gear or pulley that may be coupled to the retention member. The rotating member may be configured to automatically adjust tension on the retention member many times per second based on control signals from control logic responsive to the sensors.
Ski boot provided with an improved ski-walk selection mechanism
A ski boot comprising a lower part or shell, suitable for enclosing the user's foot and an upper part or cuff, suitable for enclosing the lower part of the skier's leg, wherein the cuff is hinged to the shell so as to rotate relative to the shell around hinges defining a rotation axis, forward, toward a tip of the boot, and backwards toward a heel of the boot, wherein the boot comprises fastening means suitable for selectively locking and/or unlocking the rotation of the cuff with respect to the shell depending on whether the user wants to switch from a skiing configuration to a walking configuration, respectively. Advantageously the fastening means comprise a slider interposed between the cuff and the shell, wherein said slider is fixed in rotation to the cuff and it comprises first and second end stops, placed at opposite sides of the slider, wherein the slider is movable in translation with respect to the cuff in order to move from the unlock or walking configuration, wherein the first and second end stops do not interfere with the rotation of the cuff with respect to the shell, to the lock or ski configuration wherein the first and second end stops abut against respective first and second abutment of the shell, wherein first abutment blocks the forward rotation of the cuff with respect to the shell and second abutment blocks the backward rotation of the cuff with respect to the shell.
LOCKING AND UNLOCKING DEVICE FOR A SPORTS BOOT
A locking and unlocking device includes an actuation element and a lock and a rear deflector. The actuation element is mobile between a first position and a second position, controlling the position of the lock and the position of the rear deflector such that in the first position, the lock occupies a locking position to block an upper cuff in rotation relative to a shell base, and the rear deflector occupies a low position to close a cut-out at the rear of a shell base; and in the second position, the lock occupies an unlocking position to release the rotation of an upper cuff relative to a shell base, and the rear deflector occupies a high position to open up at least partly a cut-out at the rear of a shell base, in order to increase the amplitude of flexure of a lower leg in a sports boot.
Ski boot shell with spoiler
The disclosure relates to a ski boot shell having a notch in the rear upper portion thereof, a rear bearing element movably connected relative to the shell, the rear bearing element has a first position in which it abuts against at least one surface of the shell to at least partially close the notch when skiing, and a second position withdrawn backward to allow the leg of a skier to be straightened when walking.
