SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING ORTHOTIC DEVICE MODELS USING SIMULATED PATIENT ANATOMY
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for generating orthotic device models using simulated patient anatomy. In one implementation, a method comprises receiving images of a body part of a patient; deriving physical measurements from the images; generating anatomy model data of the body part using the physical measurements; and generating orthotic model data based on the anatomy model data, the orthotic model data being representative of an orthotic device.
Article of footwear with external support member
An article of footwear includes a dynamic support member that provides support to a foot. The support member is external to the article. The support member provides dynamic support by tightening around the foot when a user applies a strong enough force against a base portion of the support member. The support member includes several lateral gaps that facilitate increased flexibility for some portions of the support member.
Foot device
A foot engagement device includes a generally U-shaped portion having an inner edge, an outer wall, and a tapered upper surface extending from the inner edge to the outer wall. The upper surface tapers between 1 degree and 45 degrees from the inner edge to the outer wall.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear, comprising: an upper having an outer surface, a foot insertion volume and a sole facing surface, a sole assembly comprising: a midsole having a foot facing surface, a ground facing surface, a heel region, forefoot region and an arch region between the heel region and the forefoot region in a longitudinal direction, where the midsole in the arch region comprises a medial support element covering at least a part of the cuboid bone of the foot and/or a lateral support element covering at least a part of the navicular bone, a medial reinforcement member positioned medial to the medial support element and/or a lateral reinforcement member positioned lateral to the lateral support element, where the medial and/or the lateral reinforcement member is configured to increase the rigidity of the medial support element and/or the lateral support element.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR
An article of footwear comprising: an upper having an outer surface, a foot insertion volume and a sole facing surface; and a sole assembly comprising: a midsole having a foot facing surface, a ground facing surface, a heel region, forefoot region and an arch region between the heel region and the forefoot region in a longitudinal direction, a medial reinforcement member positioned at a medial side of the midsole and/or a lateral reinforcement member positioned at a lateral side of the midsole, where the medial and/or the lateral reinforcement member is/are configured to increase the rigidity of the midsole in a longitudinal direction in the arch region.
Footwear with dual shanks
Footwear for covering a foot of a wearer includes an outsole configured for supporting the foot of the wearer, an upper secured to the outsole and configured for covering the foot of the wearer, an insole located above the outsole within the upper, a midsole located above the outsole and below the insole and first and second laterally adjacent shanks located above the outsole and below the insole. The first shank angles forward and outward from the heel portion to a lateral side of the middle portion and the second shank angles forward and outward from the heel portion to a medial side of the middle portion to form an acute angle therebetween and provide balance and torsional stability for sides of the wearer's foot.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CUSTOMIZED INSOLE AND A SYSTEM THEREFOR
Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an insole for a shoe. The method comprises providing instructions to a person to attain a first pose; capturing a first three-dimensional image of a first foot of the person in the first pose; providing instructions to the person to attain a second pose, wherein the second pose is different from the first pose; capturing a second three-dimensional image of a second foot of the person in the second pose; generating a first three-dimensional model of the first foot from the first three-dimensional image; generating a second three-dimensional model of the second foot from the second three-dimensional model; manufacturing a first insole for the first foot based on the first three-dimensional model of the first foot; and manufacturing a second insole for the second foot based on the second three-dimensional model of the second foot.
Athletic positioning apparatus and applications thereof
An apparatus includes a heel section, a mid-foot section, and a toe section. The heel section, the mid-foot section, and the toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the heel section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to an outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.
ASSEMBLY-TYPE INSOLE FOR FOOTWEAR
An assembly-type insole of the present invention is a shoe insole arranged on an inner bottom surface of a shoe so as to protect the sole of a wearer's foot, the insole comprising: a heel bottom-support configured to support a bottom part of the heel of the wearer's foot; a heel bottom support plate configured to allow the heel bottom support to be attached thereto; an inner arch support configured to support the inner arch part of the wearer's foot sole; an arch inside-support plate positioned inwardly from the longitudinal center of the arch of the foot sole to allow the inner arch support attached thereto; an outer arch support configured to support the outer arch part of the foot sole; an outer arch support plate positioned outwardly from the longitudinal center of the arch of the foot sole to allow the outer arch support attached thereto; an insole base configured to support the arch of the sole and the sole positioned at the front of the arch; and a support plate engagement member configured to allow the heel bottom support plate, the inner arch support plate, and the outer arch support plate to be engaged thereto.
SUPPORTING MEMBER FOR FOOTWEAR ACTIVITY ECONOMY
A supporting member in a sole for an article of footwear comprising at least a vertical sub-member extending in both a vertical direction and a longitudinal direction that extends along a toe region to a heel region of the sole. Located within or adjacent to a cushioning member, the vertical sub-member has a curvature along the longitudinal direction wherein the curvature is configured to reduce flexion of the cushioning element and/or improve the durability of the supporting member. The supporting member further comprises a horizontal sub-member extending from a sidewall of the vertical sub-member in a latitudinal direction of the sole and being angled away from the vertical sub-member and at least a portion of the vertical sub-member being coextensive with the vertical sub-member.
