Midsole structure for a shoe

A midsole structure for a shoe not only maintains stability at the time of impacting the ground and improves cushioning property but also eliminates discomfort to a foot sole and improves ride feeling during running. The midsole structure (1) comprises at least two midsoles provided at a heel region of the shoe and having a hardness difference. On opposite sides of the heel region, an upper midsole (2) of a greater hardness has a thickness greater than a thickness of a lower midsole (3) of a smaller hardness. In a central part of the heel region, the lower midsole (3) of a smaller hardness has a thickness greater than a thickness of the upper midsole (2) of a greater hardness. Boundary surfaces (2B, 3A) between the upper midsole (2) and the lower midsole (3) do not appear on a top surface of the midsole structure (1) (that is, a foot sole contact surface (2A) of the upper midsole (2)).

Shoe orthotic device and related methods

The present invention provides an improved orthotic device adapted to be inserted into a high-heeled or raised-heel shoe and to receive a human foot thereon. The orthotic device may be operable to adhere to the sole of the shoe and may comprise a proximal contoured slope operable to prevent migration and increase acceptance of body weight at the heel of the wearer's foot and may comprise a distal contoured slope operable to support the arch of the wearer's foot, preventing the foot from sliding forward and focusing excessive painful pressure at the user's toes. The orthotic device may also have dual layers of adhesive material separated by a peel-away backing, and an inferior surface concavity with a channel allowing solvent to be used to dissolve the adhesive if the orthotic device needs to be repositioned or changed to a new shoe.

Foot Orthotic Device

An orthotic device includes: a base layer adapted to extend from a heel counter of a footwear to a toe box of the footwear, the base layer having a heel cup for cradling a heel of a foot; a support layer attached to a top surface of the base layer, the support layer including an anterior portion adapted to underlie and support a metatarsal arch of the foot and a posterior portion adapted to underlie and support the heel; said anterior portion having a first cutout along a medial side and a second cutout along a lateral side to define a protrusion that extends in an anterior direction and is adapted to underlie a second, third, and fourth metatarsals, said protrusion includes a metatarsal raise for supporting the metatarsal arch; and a cushion layer covering said top surface of said base layer and said support layer.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS
20200221818 · 2020-07-16 ·

An apparatus and method for treatment of plantar fasciitis. The apparatus includes an insole for wear within a shoe, or footwear, of a patient afflicted with plantar fasciitis. The insole has an opening, or void, defined in a top surface of the insole such that the opening is positioned below a locus of the plantar fasciitis injury. The opening is positioned so that the insole does not impart a contact pressure about the point of injury. The method includes opening a space in the top surface area of an insole under the Plantar Fascia ligament tear to immediately relieve the pressure from the insole that causes Plantar Fascistic pain.

Contoured support shoe insole

An insole having a top sheet, a base layer, a forefoot pad, a heel cushion, and stability cradle. The forefoot pad can be made a blown EVA or other material, and the heel cushion can be made of a clear TPR, soft polyurethane or blown EVA. A heel cup surrounds the exterior back by a heel cup, and a heel pod opening and midfoot pod opening is located in the stability cradle for allowing placement of heel pads and midfoot pads in a replacement manner. There is also a soft metatarsal raised dome on the top (foot contact) surface of the insole which would be directly above the metatarsal midfoot area.

An insole is provided. This insole features a front end, a thickness, a top surface, a bottom surface, a heel receiving portion having a first end and a second end, a lateral longitudinal arch support section which has a width, and a medial longitudinal arch support section. Preferably, the medial longitudinal arch support section is made up of a partial spherical cap which has a radius and a height, and the medial longitudinal arch support section runs from the first end of said heel receiving portion to the lateral longitudinal arch support section.

Article of apparel with zonal force attenuation properties

An article of apparel, such as a sock or a shoe, is disclosed as having a foot-supporting area for extending adjacent to a plantar surface of a foot. The foot-supporting area has various zones of differing thickness that attenuate forces upon the plantar surface to different degrees. The apparel may be manufactured through a process that includes utilizing a force mapping device to obtain data relating to forces upon the plantar surface of the foot. The sock is then formed to have zones of different thickness located to correspond with the areas of the plantar surface subjected to different magnitudes of forces.

ENERGY RETURN ORTHOTIC SYSTEMS

A plurality of orthotic systems are provided. One bi-layer system is constructed from a single sheet of fabric that is molded into two layers. One tri-layer system includes a base layer; a mid-layer; and an upper layer. The upper layer is joined to the mid-layer and the mid-layer is joined to the base layer. The coupling of the base layer, the mid-layer and the upper layer create a rear spring section, a mid-spring section and a front spring section in which the upper layer is suspended over the mid-layer and the heel portion is suspended on the proximal heel end of the base layer.

An apparatus includes a heel platform section, a mid-foot section juxtaposed to the heel platform section, and a toe section juxtaposed to the mid-foot section. The mid-foot section and toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the mid-foot section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to the outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.

THREE LAYER SHOE CONSTRUCTION WITH IMPROVED CUSHIONING, FLEXIBILITY, AND SHOCK ABSORPTION
