MOLDED FOOTBED WITH INTEGRALLY FORMED MASSAGING DOMES
A footbed according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a top surface; a bottom surface; a plurality of domes formed in the footbed, the plurality of domes protruding at the top surface; each of the plurality of domes having an outer diameter at the top surface and a cavity formed under the dome, the cavity extending to the bottom surface; a first set of the plurality of domes each having a first outer diameter at the top surface; a second set of the plurality of domes each having a second outer diameter at the top surface; wherein the first outer diameter is larger than the second outer diameter, and wherein the footbed is a single piece of injection molded foam material.
MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT OF PHYSIOLOGIC PARAMETERS OF A SUBJECT
A method includes receiving monitoring data from at least one sensing device coupled to a subject and analyzing the monitoring data to identify one or more physiologic parameters of the subject. The method also includes providing signaling to at least one stimulating device in response to the identified physiologic parameters, the signaling comprising instructions to apply a stimulus to the subject. The method further includes receiving additional monitoring data from the at least one sensing device, analyzing the additional monitoring data to identify one or more changes in the one or more physiologic parameters of the subject after application of the stimulus to the subject, and providing additional signaling to the at least one stimulating device, the additional signaling comprising instructions to modify the stimulus applied to the subject based on the identified changes in the one or more physiologic parameters.
Massaging Boot Assembly
A massaging boot assembly for massaging a foot includes a boot that may be worn on a foot. A massage unit is coupled to the boot and the massage unit selectively massages the foot when the boot is worn. The massage unit is selectively turned on and off. A heating unit is coupled to the boot such that the heating unit is in thermal communication with the boot. The heating unit is selectively turned on to selectively heat the foot thereby enhancing therapeutic relief of the foot.
Open footwear with rigid, porous surface
It is desired to teach an open footwear article where the upper surface contacting the foot is partially combined with, or wholly comprised of, a substantially rigid material that has some degree of open porosity. The purpose of said rigid, porous material serves to immediately absorb perspiration and/or water from the feet. Subsequent drying of the porous, rigid material occurs when the sandal is not in use as water/perspiration are evaporated from within the pores. The porous, rigid material also effects a massaging action while walking. It is the intent of this invention to capture a preferred combination of these two embodiments.
Massage shoe with arch support nodules
The shoe herein, in the form of a sandal, uses a combination of a midsole of varying thickness and nodules of varying diameters and heights to provide the requisite level of flexibility, support, and stimulation to the various regions of the foot. The walking action of the user creates waves of pressure across the foot, enhanced by the nodules, thereby increasing blood flow.
Gradients of pressure that generate variations in the laminar flow of the foot bed lead to better circulation and perfusion of the capillary foot bed of the foot transection irrigation, allowing for better circulation and venous return.
SOLE SYSTEM HAVING MOVABLE PROTRUDING MEMBERS
An article of footwear with a sole system includes a sole member and a protruding member assembly. The sole system provides tactile sensation. Protruding members of the protruding member assembly can translate through holes in the sole member to facilitate tactile sensation.
ORTHOTIC DEVICE FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS AND RELATED METHODS
An orthotic device for treatment of plantar fasciitis in a foot includes a shoe insole having a first longitudinal side and an opposing second longitudinal side, and a first end and an opposing second end. The shoe insole has a shape and size to be positioned within a shoe. The orthotic device also includes a massaging device carried by the shoe insole, where the massaging device is configured to be positioned on the shoe insole to be directly under a plantar fascia of the foot. In addition, the massaging device comprises a dome shape extending away from a surface of the shoe insole, and the massaging device abuts the first longitudinal side.
Variable hardness orthotic
Orthotics and methods for forming orthotics are described. The orthotics can be designed with a patient-specific design and can include variation in hardness across the orthotic so as to satisfy clinical need. An orthotic can be a custom-designed orthotic formed according to an additive manufacturing process such as a 3-D printing methodology. Through utilization of on-site formation methods such as 3-D printing, an orthotic can be designed, formed and fit at the point of care in a much shorter time period than traditional orthotics. The orthotics can include a layer that includes a plurality of cells across the layer. The layer can exhibit variable hardness across the layer through variation in cell void volume and optionally material of formation across the layer.
SOLE STRUCTURE FOR SHOES AND SHOE INCLUDING THE SAME
A sole includes a sole body supporting an entire planta of a wearer, lower protrusions protruding downward from a lower portion of the sole body toward the ground and spaced from each other, and upper protrusions protruding upward from an upper portion of the sole body toward a planta of a wearer, each of the upper protrusions being on the sole body and overlapping with an associated one of the lower protrusions. Each of the lower protrusions has, at its lower portion, a first region which makes contact with the ground, and each of the upper protrusions has, at its upper portion, a second region which makes contact with the planta of the wearer and is smaller than the first region.
Some embodiments can include an inner member that is configured to accommodate the movement of a protruding member. Other embodiments can include a plurality of recessed portions or nub portions formed along an outwardly facing surface of the sole member.
