ATHLETIC POSITIONING APPARATUS AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
An apparatus includes a heel section, a mid-foot section, and a toe section. The heel section, the mid-foot section, and the toe section collectively have a geometric shape having a first slope of a polarity along an inner edge of the apparatus from the toe section to the heel section and a second slope of the polarity along the inner edge of the apparatus to an outer edge of the apparatus at the toe section.
APPARATUS FOR ORTHOPEDIC USE
The new apparatus is an orthopedic foot bed created using multiple materials to provide maximum comfort for an individual. The apparatus is composed of a flexible material such as, for example, memory foam on top of another material such as an impact absorbing material and an arch-support foot bed made of, for example, antimicrobial energy returning foam, with the entire apparatus covered in a stretchy suede textile in one embodiment.
Sole structure with progressively adaptive stiffness
A sole structure for an article of footwear comprises a sole plate including a foot support portion with a foot-facing surface and a ground-facing surface. An opening extends through the foot support portion from the foot-facing surface to the ground-facing surface. The sole plate includes a bridge portion underlying the opening and secured to the foot support portion fore and aft of the opening. The sole structure includes a piston that has a body and a support arm extending transversely from the body. The body extends through the opening. The support arm is supported on the bridge portion, trapped below the ground-facing surface by the foot support portion, and extends under the ground-facing surface at medial and lateral sides of the opening.
Articulated Orthotic Shoe Insert
An articulated orthotic insert including a first curved member with a tapered edge configured to fit the heel of a foot. An elongated flexible rod is attached to the first curved member at a first end of the elongated flexible rod. A second member is attached to a second end of the elongated flexible rod. The second member has an indented section that accepts the ball of a foot. There are numerous support members attached to the elongated flexible rod in a perpendicular manner. The support members are curved upwards as to support the arch of a foot. The support members are in various lengths and heights to better conform to a foot. The support members are made from a rigid material such that they support the arch of a foot when a foot is placed on the support members.
Method of manufacturing a shoe insole
A method of manufacturing a shoe insole includes an upper cover layer and a lower cover layer conforming in shape to the inner bottom of the shoe, and an insole body retained between the upper cover layer and the lower cover layer, taking a foot sole form to which pads are applied to selected regions of a sole taking a foot sole form; manufacturing an insole frame having a shape conforming to a three-dimensional shape of the foot sole form and applying insole pads to an upper surface of the insole frame, based on positions of marks of the test pads of the foot sole form to which the pads are applied, wherein the insole body includes the insole frame to which the insole pads are applied.
Customizable footwear inserts and methods for using same
Systems and methods for customizable footwear inserts having a plurality of removable sections. Removable sections may be permanently bonded to adjacent layers of the inserts to eliminate or minimize the tendency of removable sections surrounding the removed sections to fall out or migrate into the cavity created by the removed sections. In some aspects, multiple layers are provided to increase the comfort, support, and/or fit provided to the wearer of the insert. Further, some embodiments include a removable backing that, when removed, exposes an adhesive that may be utilized to, inter alia, adhere an original insole of footwear to the top of the footwear insert such that the user's foot is still in contact with the original insole when wearing the footwear.
Variable-density soles for articles of footwear
Variable-density soles for articles of footwear and methods for constructing said soles are provided herein. In one embodiment, a variable-density sole for a footwear article comprises a first layer comprising a first density coupled to a bottom surface of an upper of the article of footwear; and a second layer comprising a second density greater than the density of the first layer, wherein the first layer is physically coupled to the second layer forming an interface between the layers. In this way, comfort of the article of footwear may be increased while decreasing the weight of the article of footwear. Further, forming the variable-density sole includes directly molding the first layer to a strobel board, stitching the strobel board to an upper, and injecting the second layer to the upper with the strobel board and the first layer. In this way, the production of a footwear article is simplified.
Sole for dispersing pressure of midfoot and metatarsal bones and shoe having same
The present invention relates to a midsole for dispersing the pressure of the mesopodium and the metatarsal bones, and a shoe having the same, the midsole having, installed in a metatarsal bone portion and mesopodium portion of the central upper part thereof, a midfoot support for receiving an inner sole, which protrudes upwardly so as to support the mesopodium, and having a bridge groove formed in a metatarsal bone portion of the lower part thereof, wherein the bridge groove consists of three components, and has been improved so as to be capable of supporting joints between the metatarsal bone body and basal tarsus metatarsal bones.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZING FOOTWEAR
A system and method for manufacturing a footwear component that may be customized based on consumer data and fitted with a footwear sole assembly to form part of footwear. The footwear sole assembly of the footwear can be tailored or customized for a particular consumer. The footwear component may be produced with additive manufacturing techniques, optionally allowing the footwear to be customized at or near a point of sale. In one embodiment, the density of the footwear sole assembly, or portions thereof, may be varied to align with the consumer data.
Device for preventing and treating foot and leg ulcers
A foot is configured to map location and size of the ulcerations to treated at the bottom of the foot. First and intermediate insoles are made from including semi-compressed felt. A third sole serving as the base of the device is made from including, but not limited to EVA. A cavity with beveled edges in the first insole is configured to match the location and size of the ulcerations. The first insole, the intermediate insole and the foot with ulcerations are placed in a compression sock which is equipped with a zipper and is detachably attached on the top surface of the third sole. The cavity channels the drainage or extrude from the ulcerations to the intermediate in sole where it is absorbed. The zipper provides comfort to the patient to put on and take off the compression sock with any disturbance to the ulcerations .The compression sock enhances the blood flow in the foot which prompts efficient and quick healing of the ulcerations or chronic wounds.
