Custom shoes for preventing diabetes, preventing diabetic foot caused by diabetic complications and easing ulcer pain of diabetic necrosis
Custom shoes for preventing diabetes, preventing diabetic foot caused by diabetic complications and easing ulcer pain of diabetic necrosis which disperse plantar pressure and prevent impact are proposed. The shoes may prevent shoes from creasing and deforming by attaching a deformation prevention frame to an external side of a sole; and increase weights of shoes by manufacturing shoes, wherein columns with which springs are embedded are formed on the bottom, an insole with massaging protrusions formed on the top of columns is attached to the top of the sole, an inner sole made of shock absorption material is attached to the top of the insole, and an upper combined to a sock lining is installed to the top of the insole.
Protective Patient Footwear System and Methods
This disclosure relates to a computer-implemented system and related methods for the design, evaluation, and/or manufacture of protective patient footwear, such as shoes, braces, boots, casts, corrective footwear, and orthoses. The system includes suitable hardware, software, and related peripherals, which function to acquire data related to the patient's particular footwear needs, such as by image capture, including three-dimensional scanning. The system may also acquire data through other sources of input, such as through one or more sensors for detecting various physiologic parameters associated with the lower extremity, or through input of medical conditions, prior indicators, exam, analysis, lab results, or the like, such as through medical practitioner input or other input protocols. The various inputs may be suitably processed to generate output in the form of a design accommodation to design or modify the protective patient footwear, or in the form of one or more medical evaluations or recommendations.
VENOUS THROMBOEMBOLISM PREVENTION FOOTWEAR
The invention provides an apparatus and method for the prevention of VTE and related conditions to promote blood flow in a foot, the apparatus including: at least two inflatable bladders (20, 21) adapted to be disposed in use under the foot; and one or more pumps (31, 32) configured to repeatedly inflate and deflate the bladders with a fluid, applying compressive force to the foot in use.
SUPERCAPACITIVE IONTRONIC NANOFABRIC SENSING ASSEMBLIES
A fabric-based pressure sensor assembly utilizing in ionic material and conductive material is disclosed. The sensing device can be applied in several various wearable health and biomedical applications on complex body topologies. As an alternative to conventional flexible sensors, the fabric-based sensor assembly yields high device sensitivity and desirable parameters for pressure sensing in a wearable construct. The sensor assembly enables rapid mechanical responses (in the milliseconds range) for high-frequency biomechanical signals, e.g., blood pressure pulses and body movements. The fabrication process for the device is low-cost highly compatible with existing industrial manufacturing processes.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PREVENTING TISSUE DAMAGE
A sensor interface device (e.g., orthotic device or immobilization device) is disclosed. More specifically, described is an individualized sensor device and system to prevent tissue damage resulting from, for example, pressure, torsion, temperature, shear, altered blood flow, reduced oxygen tension, pH levels, tissue conductivity, tissue viscoelasticity, infection and sweat chloride levels. In particular embodiments, the systems, devices and related methods are used for preventing ambulation and mobility related plantar tissue related damage and immobilizing tissues.
FOOT SUPPORTS
In an example, a foot support is described. The foot support comprises a support portion, an extension portion extending from the support portion, and at least one closable opening formed in the foot support. The extension portion is integral with the support portion. Upon flexing of the foot support by application of a bending force between the support portion and the extension portion, closure of the at least one opening is to prevent further flexing of the foot support beyond a specified angle range.
ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR FOR INHIBITING AND TREATING INJRIES
Articles of footwear for protecting injured, at-risk, or post-surgical feet and ankles include upper and/or sole structures that offload the feet and ankles when standing and/or walking.
THERAPEUTIC SHOE
An engineered therapeutic footwear for correcting a biomechanical misalignment and provide proper foot alignment. Thetherapeutic footwear comes with a built in GPS tracking system. The corrective footwear improves biomechanical foot issues by an inner molded brace that provides medial and lateral support, with internal metal frame support incorporated into the molded brace. The built in GPS is utilized to track the location of a child with/without disabilities and physical activity.
MOVEMENT ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A movement assistance device comprising a first element for rigidly connecting the device to one foot of a user and transmitting a thrust force to said foot; and a second element linked to the first element by link means and intended to be in contact with the ground; the device further comprises means for transmitting a force from an exogenous energy source, to the first element and/or to the second element, in order to separate them from each other.
Therapeutic footwear
The present invention generally relates to therapeutic footwear such as sandals, conventional shoes, and corrective inserts that may be inserted into conventional shoes. Specifically, the therapeutic footwear may be used for maintaining, correcting, or repositioning the great toe to decrease pressure on the first metatarsal-phalangeal joint or bunion. Additional therapeutic features may include spreading of the wearer's toes, supporting the wearer's arch to control excessive pronation, and providing sustained heel cord stretch at rest, during ambulation, pedicure, and before, during, or after medical treatment.
