Sole and shoe
A sole includes a midsole body and a buffer member made of a material having hardness lower than that of a material constituting the midsole body. A mounting portion that mounts the buffer member is formed on a surface of a rearfoot region of the midsole body. The buffer member is mounted on the mounting portion in a non-adhesive state. One of the mounting portion and the buffer member includes a reference surface and a protrusion. The other of the mounting portion and the buffer member includes a recess. The recess includes a surrounding wall having a shape that entirely surrounds a periphery of the protrusion.
Shoe and Footwear with Integrated Insole or Sole Having Sealed Discrete Elastic Chambers Storing a Synthetic Granular Mixture that Mimics Stepping on Natural Sand
A shoe or other footwear has a non-removable multi-layer foot-support member (FSM) embedded within the sole. The uppermost layer is a breathable, stretchable textile configured for direct contact with the foot, offering softness and elasticity. Directly beneath it is a containment layer made of elastic fabric partially infused or impregnated with silicone, which stabilizes and restrains the granular contents below. The central layer includes one or two or three sealed chambers filled with a cured mixture of silicone and polymeric granules, forming a deformable medium that yields under pressure and mimics natural granular terrain or sand. Beneath this is a synthetic textile layer that restricts lateral expansion of the granular mixture, and preserves chamber geometry during use. The bottom component is a semi-rigid base that structurally supports and anchors all overlying layers.

Component for a shoe
A component for a shoe, intended to be interposed between a foot and the ground, is delimited by an upper surface which, in use, is turned towards the foot. The upper surface comprises a load-bearing region in which at least one recess is made, the recess being configured to receive at least one metatarsal head of the foot, so that in the load-bearing region a plurality of metatarsal support levels is defined, the metatarsal support levels being placed at different heights from one another and being intended to support the metatarsal heads of the foot. The plurality of metatarsal support levels comprises, in the more simplified embodiment, two different metatarsal support levels. In a more complex embodiment, three different metatarsal support levels are provided. In a more complete embodiment, five different metatarsal support levels are provided.

Article of footwear having a bottom with dome component
An article of footwear includes an upper and a midsole coupled to the upper. The midsole includes a cavity formed in a heel portion of the midsole, and the cavity has an interior surface. The article of footwear includes a dome-shaped support member disposed within the cavity, and a foam insert disposed below the support member. A top surface of the dome-shaped support member abuts the interior surface of the cavity of the midsole.
Systems and methods for cushioned footwear
A shoe comprises an outsole, a midsole operatively connected to the outsole, an insole operatively connected to the midsole, the midsole and insole each having at least one aperture therein, and a cushion. The cushion includes at least one pillar extending generally upwardly from outsole through the at least one aperture in the midsole and the aperture in the insole. The cushion can further include a radial flange sandwiched between the outsole and the midsole.

Comfort System for Boots
A comfort system for Cowboy and work boots, including an insole chassis, an insole chassis backing board, and cushioning pads for absorbing and attenuating shocks encountered by a wearer of the boots. Cushioning pads are secured to a surface of the insole chassis backing board, and apertures in the insole chassis allow the cushions to pass through. Additional cushioning pads are retained in recesses in the midsole. Pads on insole chassis backing board and midsole are vertically aligned. A steel toe inset is utilized in conjunction with the comfort system for work boots. A rim may depend below the midsole to receive a foamed plastic pad.
