Systems and methods for providing footwear that facilitate distribution of a fluid held by the footwear to a foot of a user are described. A footwear structure embodiment includes, but is not limited to, a sole including an upper layer, a bottom layer, and an intermediate layer coupled between the upper layer and the bottom layer, the sole defining a cavity through the upper layer and at least a portion of the intermediate layer; and a fluid distribution structure sized and dimensioned to fit at least partially within the cavity, the fluid distribution structure including a fluid retention portion configured to retain a fluid for release to a foot of a user when the user introduces the foot onto the sole and in contact with at least a portion of the fluid retention portion.

PLATE WITH FOAM FOR FOOTWEAR

A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes an outsole, a plate disposed between the outsole and the upper, and a first cushioning layer. The plate includes an anterior-most point disposed in a forefoot region of the sole structure, a posterior-most point disposed closer to a heel region of the sole structure than the anterior-most point, and a concave portion extending between the anterior-most point and the posterior-most point. The concave portion includes a constant radius of curvature from the anterior-most point to a metarsophalangeal (MTP) point of the sole structure. The MTP point opposes the MTP joint of a foot during use. The first cushioning layer is disposed between the concave portion and the upper.

ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING A SOLE STRUCTURE

A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure including a forefoot region and a heel region. The sole structure further includes a chassis plate, an outsole plate extending from the forefoot region to the heel region, the outsole plate including a recess disposed in a top surface, wherein the outsole plate is disposed below the chassis plate, and a cushioning element disposed within the recess.

Composite plate for an article of footwear or equipment

A method for forming a plate includes attaching a first strand portion to a flexible substrate to form a first layer on the substrate and positioning a second strand portion on the first layer to form a second layer on the first layer in a plurality of discrete regions on the substrate. The method also includes positioning a plurality of traction elements into corresponding cavities formed into a first mold surface and positioning the substrate on the first mold surface to change a shape of the substrate. At least one of heat and pressure is applied to the first strand portion, the second strand portion, the substrate, and the traction elements to conform the substrate to the shape of the first mold surface and form the traction elements into the substrate at each of the discrete regions. The method also includes incorporating the substrate into an article of footwear.

A non-removable insole, that is an integral part of a shoe or other footwear article, includes at least: a top layer, a middle layer, and a bottom layer. The middle layer of the insole has apertures or cavities, that define several discrete storage chambers within the insole. Each storage chamber stores a mixture of two or more particulate materials. The mixture includes one or more materials selected from Group A, which includes natural sand, synthetic sand, artificial sand, kinetic sand, silica, quartz. The mixture further includes one or more materials selected from Group B, which includes: powdered aluminum, powdered titanium, powdered zinc, powdered magnesia, powdered silver, powdered anti-bacterial agent, powdered metal, powdered talcum, grained cork, grained coal, grained wood.
