An article of footwear may include an upper and a sole structure secured to the upper, the sole structure including a midsole with an outsole secured thereto, wherein one or more arcuate inserts within recesses or cavities extending into the midsole are exposed through one or more apertures in the outsole. These inserts provide unique cushioning and support properties, particularly during banking (e.g., leaning to one side or pushing off to the side from the medial or lateral side of the foot). The inserts provide the structural benefits of dome or arch shapes that are formed in the mid-sole and open to the underside.

A shoe insert assembly includes a panel that is selectively positioned in a shoe. The panel has an opening therein and the opening is aligned with a heel when the shoe is worn thereby facilitating pressure to be relieved from the heel. A cushion is positioned within the panel and the cushion absorbs pressure exerted by a foot onto the shoe thereby enhancing comfort of the shoe. A pad is coupled to the panel and the pad is aligned with an arch in the foot when the shoe is worn thereby enhancing comfort of the shoe.

An insole for open-styled footwear that includes a mating attachment system for variably affixing the insole into footwear.

Footwear with support and traction

A layered engagement structure includes a first layer with a multiple of openings, the first layer at least partially corresponds to a shape of a foot sole and a multiple of columns, each of the multiple of columns correspond with one of the multiple of openings in the first layer to extend at least partially therein.

CUSTOMIZABLE INSERTS FOR FOOTWEAR

An insert to be used with footwear is provided. In one implementation, the insert includes a structural member that has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface is shaped to correspond with contours of a user foot. The second surface is adapted to rest on substantially planar surface. The insert includes a recessed cavity defining an opening from the first surface to the second surface of the structural member. The recessed cavity is shaped to stabilize a region of the user foot placed within the opening. An intermediate layer is attached to the structural member in a mating relationship with respect to the first surface. This foam layer is adapted to distribute a determined amount of foot pressure from the user foot with respect to the structural member.

Insoles for footwear

Embodiments are directed towards an insole assembly for an article of footwear. The insole includes a cushioning member and a support member. The cushioning member having an upper surface for engaging a plantar surface of a foot and a bottom surface for engaging a sole of the footwear and the support member. The support member engages with a portion of the bottom surface of the cushioning member. The support member has a rearfoot portion which extends around a heel end of the cushioning member, medial and lateral side portions which extend forwardly from the rearfoot portion on opposite sides of a central opening in the support member, and a front-end portion connecting the medial and lateral side portions near a midfoot region of the footwear enclosing the central opening in the support member along a perimeter of the cushioning member.

Article of footwear

A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a cushioning element having a top surface, a bottom surface formed on an opposite side of the cushioning element from the top surface, a ramp surface spaced apart from the bottom surface in a heel region of the cushioning element, a heel pocket extending through the cushioning element from the top surface to the ramp surface, and a plurality of pillars extending from the ramp surface and surrounding the pocket. The sole structure additionally includes a plurality of cushioning particles disposed within the pocket, an outsole attached to the cushioning element and enclosing a first end of the pocket, and an upper barrier layer attached to the top surface of the cushioning element and covering a second end of the pocket.
