ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR INCORPORATING PARTICULATE MATTER
A sole structure for an article of footwear is provided and includes a midsole having a first surface, a second surface formed on an opposite side of the midsole than the first surface, a first cavity formed in the first surface and tapering in a direction from the first surface toward the second surface, and a second cavity formed in the second surface and tapering in a direction from the second surface toward the first surface. A first quantity of particulate matter is disposed within the first cavity and a second quantity of particulate matter is disposed within the second cavity.
Systems and methods for generating orthotic device models using simulated patient anatomy
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for generating orthotic device models using simulated patient anatomy. In one implementation, a method comprises receiving images of a body part of a patient; deriving physical measurements from the images; generating anatomy model data of the body part using the physical measurements; and generating orthotic model data based on the anatomy model data, the orthotic model data being representative of an orthotic device.
CUSTOM SOLE INSERT FOR HIGH HEEL SHOES
A high heel shoe that contains a sole insert that includes a forward region supporting the forefoot and a reduced thickness or cut out area disposed beneath the first metatarsal head. The reduced thickness or cut out area provides less support to the first metatarsal head than is provided to other areas of the forward region that support the forefoot. The rear region supports the midfoot and the rearfoot including the heel, with the rear region extending from the forefoot to the back of the optional heel. An arch support may also be provided. Also disclosed are the sole insert itself, methods of making the sole insert and methods of making shoes that contain the sole insert.
INSOLE STRUCTURE WITH DECOMPRESSION
The invention relates to an insole structure with decompression. It comprises an insole main body, and a guiding thin pad portion and a rear thin pad portion disposed on the insole main body, wherein the guiding thin pad portion provides capacity for an area given from metatarsophalangeal joints connected with a first phalanx and a first metatarsal till a fifth phalanx and a fifth metatarsal of the anterior sole, and the rear thin pad portion provides capacity for the calcaneus and have the first metatarsophalangeal joint stay at the lowest place while stepping.
Footbeds having varying compression characteristics
Provided are footbeds having multiple points of contact and varying compression rates for use in articles of footwear. In one embodiment, a footbed may include apertures (for example, ovals) arranged in a varying grid density. In another embodiment, a footbed may include a lattice having edges that define polygons arranged in a constant grid density. In another embodiment, a footbed may include a lattice having edges that define polygons arranged in a constant grid density and having protruding structures within each polygon.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS
An apparatus and method for treatment of plantar fasciitis. The apparatus includes an insole for wear within a shoe, or footwear, of a patient afflicted with plantar fasciitis. The insole has an opening, or void, defined in a top surface of the insole such that the opening is positioned below a locus of the plantar fasciitis injury. The opening is positioned so that the insole does not impart a contact pressure about the point of injury. The method includes opening a space in the top surface area of an insole under the Plantar Fascia ligament tear to immediately relieve the pressure from the insole that causes Plantar Fascistic pain.
Contoured support shoe insole
An insole having a top sheet, a base layer, a forefoot pad, a heel cushion, and stability cradle. The forefoot pad can be made a blown EVA or other material, and the heel cushion can be made of a clear TPR, soft polyurethane or blown EVA. A heel cup surrounds the exterior back by a heel cup, and a heel pod opening and midfoot pod opening is located in the stability cradle for allowing placement of heel pads and midfoot pads in a replacement manner. There is also a soft metatarsal raised dome on the top (foot contact) surface of the insole which would be directly above the metatarsal midfoot area.
DEVICE SUITABLE FOR BEING INTEGRATED IN FOOTWEARS SOLES, ACTING AS CUSHIONING, ENERGY DISSIPATION AND STABILIZATION MEANS
Device suitable for being integrated in footwears soles, acting as cushioning, energy dissipation and stabilization means, including: a cushioning element made of a first material having a viscoelastic behavior; a conditioning element positioned under the cushioning element and made of a second material having a viscoelastic behavior; and a containing element positioned above the cushioning element and covering also the conditioning element. The cushioning element having first empty regions that are first through holes and second through holes and channels to pushing out the air when the device is subjected to a compression load.
SOCKLINER ASSEMBLIES FOR ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR
A sockliner assembly can comprise a sockliner and one or more cables. The sockliner can have an upper surface, a lower surface, and a side surface extending between the upper and lower surfaces and defining a peripheral edge of the sockliner. The first cable can have a first attached cable segment and a first free cable segment. The first attached cable segment can be coupled to the sockliner. The first free cable segment can extend from the first attached cable segment and can extend beyond the peripheral edge of the sockliner.
ADJUSTABLE INSOLE FOR A FOOTWEAR ARTICLE
Various embodiments are directed to an adjustable insole for a footwear article. In various embodiments, the adjustable insole comprises an insole body comprising a heel bottom cavity defined by a cavity opening provided along an insole body bottom surface; and a removeable heel bottom insert configured to be disposed within the heel bottom cavity such that a first insert portion is disposed within the heel bottom cavity and a second insert portion defines a lowermost surface of the adjustable insole, the removeable heel bottom insert having a selectively adjustable configuration relative to the insole body that is defined by an arrangement of the removeable heel bottom insert within the heel bottom cavity in one of a nominal position and a rotated position defined relative to the nominal position by a rotation of the removeable heel bottom insert through an angle of rotation of at least approximately 90 degrees.
