Sole and article of footwear having a pod assembly
A sole includes a base having a medial side and a lateral side; and a plurality of projections extending from the base, wherein at least one of the projections includes a first pod filled with ambient air and a foam layer disposed below the first pod. The first pod and the foam layer are disposed such that the projection extends non-orthogonally from the base.
Footwear sole structure incorporating a plurality of chambers
A plurality of fluid-filled chambers may be incorporated into sole structures of articles of footwear. The chambers may be configured to be substantially diamond-shaped. The chambers may lie within cavities formed by a lower surface of the midsole and may extend into apertures in the outsole. The apertures in the outsole may be aligned with the cavities of the midsole. The chambers may be bounded by bounding regions between and at the perimeter of the chambers. The bounding regions may be formed of a polymer foam material of the midsole. The chambers may additionally be connected.
SHOCK-ABSORBING FOOTWEAR
Disclosed herein are a shock-absorbing devices and shoes. In one aspect, the shoe encompasses an upper; a sole; and at least one shock-absorbing assembly, the shock-absorbing assembly including: a support frame connected to at least a portion of the upper or sole, and a plurality of shock-absorbing members having first and second opposed ends, the first ends of the shock-absorbing members being connected to a portion of the support frame. Also disclosed herein are methods for dampening an applied force to a joint during walking using the disclosed devices and shoes.
Sole structures and articles of footwear having a lightweight midsole with segmented protective elements
Sole structures for articles of footwear, including athletic footwear, include: (a) a lightweight foam midsole component for supporting the foot; and (b) a plurality of heavier and/or denser cage components covering selected areas of the midsole component. Spaces are provided between the cage components. These spaces may be sized, shaped, and oriented to define and/or correspond to flexion lines of the foot and/or to produce a more natural flex motion to the sole. The soles additionally may include one or more outsole components, e.g., on bottom surface(s) of the cage component(s) and/or the foam midsole. These sole structures may be engaged with an upper to form a shoe. The uppers may include one or more lace receiving openings supported by elongated wire or textile components. Methods of making footwear including such uppers and/or sole structures also are described.
Shoe sole and footwear constituted thereof
A new design of shoe sole that includes both a base portion and a base support portion, wherein the base support portion is a base support portion attached underneath to the center area of the base portion. The current design further includes an expansion portion that extends downwardly from the outside rim of the base portion, wherein the expansion portion is elastic, and the bottom surface of the base support portion is higher than the bottom surface of the expansion portion. Footwear made of this type of sole first touch a support surface (ground) with the expansion portion, which forms a first contact region. Further because the expansion portion is located at the outward rim of the base portion, it is easier for the expansion portion to extend to all directions when pressed.
Article of footwear with slots and method of making
A sole structure for an article of footwear and a method of making the sole structure is disclosed. The sole structure can include a plurality of slots. The slots are associated with connecting portions that connect portions of the sole structure in the generally longitudinal direction and provide for increased fit, flexibility and stability.
Footwear having a sole with a plurality of chambers
Soles for footwear and footwear are disclosed. The sole may include a midsole having a first surface. The sole may additionally include an outsole having a second surface and a plurality of first recesses. The second surface may be attached to the first surface. The first surface and the plurality of first recesses may define a plurality of chambers. One or more chambers of the plurality of chambers may include trapped air. The midsole may further include first protruding portions that extend downwardly from the first surface toward one or more first recesses of the plurality of first recesses.
PLATE WITH FOAM FOR FOOTWEAR
A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes an outsole defining a first aperture, a cushioning member disposed on the outsole and defining a second aperture, and a plate disposed between the cushioning member and the upper. The plate includes an anterior-most point disposed in a forefoot region, a posterior-most point disposed closer to a heel region than the anterior-most point, a metatarsophalangeal (MTP) point disposed between the anterior-most point and the posterior-most point, and an anterior curved region having a radius of curvature extending through the forefoot region and a mid-foot region and including a forefoot curved portion extending from the MTP point to the anterior-most point and a mid-foot curved portion extending from the MTP point toward the posterior-most point. Overlapping portions of the first aperture and the second aperture expose a region of the plate.
ELEMENT FOR REALIZING AN ASSEMBLED FOOTWEAR WITH PRE-FORMED PARTS AND A RELATED FOOTWEAR
The present invention relates to an element for realizing a footwear comprising a supporting frame (10; 20) and at least one member (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7; 21, 22) configured to be coupled to the supporting frame (10; 20).
The invention also relates to a footwear comprising one or more of said elements.
Sole structure comprising a fluid filled member with slots
A sole structure for an article of footwear is disclosed. The sole structure comprises a fluid filled member and a plurality of slots. The slots are associated with connecting portions that connect portions of the sole structure in the generally longitudinal direction and provide for increased fit, flexibility and stability.
