Sole structure for article of footwear

A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a first plate having a first surface. The first plate includes a forefoot region at an anterior end, a heel region at a posterior end, and a mid-foot region. The sole structure further includes a second plate having a second surface opposing the first surface of the first plate. The second plate has a first end attached to the forefoot region of the first plate and a second end that is spaced apart from the first surface of the first plate. A cushion is disposed between the first plate and the second plate and has a first side attached to the first surface of the first plate and a second side attached to the second surface of second plate. The cushion extends continuously from a medial side of the sole structure to a lateral side of the sole structure.

STACKED CUSHIONING ARRANGEMENT FOR SOLE STRUCTURE

A sole structure for an article of footwear is provided. The sole structure includes an outsole having a ground-engaging surface and an upper surface formed on an opposite side of the outsole than the ground-engaging surface. A first cushion is disposed proximate to a medial side of the sole structure and includes a first fluid-filled chamber attached to the upper surface of the outsole and a second fluid-filled chamber attached to the first fluid-filled chamber and disposed between the first fluid-filled chamber and the upper. A second cushion is disposed proximate to a lateral side of the sole structure and includes a third fluid-filled chamber attached to the upper surface of the outsole and a fourth fluid-filled chamber attached to the third fluid-filled chamber and disposed between the third fluid-filled chamber and the upper. The second cushion is fluidly isolated from the first cushion.

A footwear construction includes a sole assembly having a first midsole platform of a first durometer and a second midsole platform of a second durometer, less than the first, so that the second midsole platform is softer than the first, and an outsole having an outsole upstanding cup wall surrounding the second midsole platform so as to protect it from abrasion, and to control a lateral and expansive movement of the softer second midsole platform, when lugs of the outsole are pushed upward toward the second midsole platform due to lug engagement with an underfoot terrain feature. The platforms can be constructed from a different durometer EVA or foam. The first durometer can be about 50-60 Asker C, inclusive and the second durometer can be about 35-45 Asker C, inclusive.

A bouncing shoe-holder includes a shoe holder for holding a shoe worn by a user, a bouncing unit and a fastening unit. The bouncing unit includes an upper resilient member having a downward curving configuration and a lower resilient member having an upward curving configuration coupled thereto in an end-to-end manner to define a bouncing cavity therebetween. The fastening unit includes a fastening member supported within the bouncing cavity to directly fasten the bouncing unit at a bottom side of the shoe holder.
