The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a component for an electrochemical system. The method comprises steps in which at least one metallic layer with at least one sealing bead formed therein is provided, each of at least two first surface regions of the at least one sealing bead are subjected to at least one laser treatment, and each of at least one second surface region of the at least one sealing bead, which is arranged between the at least two first surface regions and directly adjoins the at least two first surface regions, is provided with at least one elastomeric sealing element. In addition, the present disclosure also relates to a component for an electrochemical system and an electrochemical system comprising the component.

The present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing a component for an electrochemical system. An electrochemical cell includes a support body, a first electrode layer, an electrolyte layer, and a second electrode layer. The first electrode layer is disposed on the support body. The electrolyte layer is disposed on the first electrode layer. The second electrode layer is disposed on the side opposite to the first electrode layer with respect to the electrolyte layer. The support has a current collecting layer, a beam portion embedded in the current collecting layer, and a through hole that penetrates along a stacking direction from a first main surface opposite to the first electrode layer to a second main surface facing the first electrode layer.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a gas diffusion layer, wherein nonwovens made of carbon fibers or carbon fiber precursors are subjected to entanglement with water-containing fluid jets of a certain water quality. The invention also relates to the gas diffusion layer obtainable according to the method and to a fuel cell that contains such a gas diffusion layer.
