Fuel cell, bipolar plate and bipolar plate assembly for fuel cell
The disclosure relates to a fuel cell, a bipolar plate and a bipolar plate assembly for a fuel cell. The bipolar plate comprises: at least one distributing region; at least one first through hole which communicates with the distributing region via a circumferential opening on a sidewall as an inlet of a first reactant; and at least one second through hole which communicates with the distributing region via a circumferential opening on a sidewall as an outlet of a first reactant. Each of the at least one first through hole and the at least one second through hole has a cross section of approximately trapezoid with an arc edge or an oblique edge, and the circumferential opening is formed on a curved sidewall or on an oblique sidewall. The fuel cell has improved structural design of the bipolar plate to improve flow uniformity and hydrothermal management of the fuel cell.

FUEL CELL SEPARATOR AND POWER GENERATION CELL
A second separator (fuel cell separator) of a power generation cell is provided with a second separator body. Second flow field grooves and second flow field protrusions are alternately arranged on the surface of the second separator body. The second flow field protrusions includes first curved convex portions and second curved convex portions alternately arranged in the first direction. The first curved convex portion is formed with a first communication groove communicating with mutually adjacent second flow field grooves, and the second curved convex portion is formed with a second communication groove communicating with mutually adjacent second flow field grooves.

PATTERNED CATALYST LAYERS IN FUEL CELLS
A fuel cell includes a flow field plate, a catalyst layer, and a gas diffusion layer (GDL). The flow field plate has at least one channel and at least one land. Each of the at least one channel being positioned between two adjacent lands. The GDL is positioned between the flow field plate and the catalyst layer. The catalyst layer has a first region aligned with the at least one channel and a second region aligned with the at least one land. The first region has a first composition, a first carbon material, and a first carbon ratio of an amount of the first composition to the first carbon material. The second region has a second composition, a second carbon material, and a second carbon ratio of an amount of the second composition to the second carbon material. The first carbon ratio is different than the second carbon ratio.

CO-MOLDED COMPONENTS OF A REDOX FLOW BATTERY STOCK
A cell plate assembly of a redox flow battery has a frame body and a cell plate in fluidic communication. Cell plates, electrolyte pathways and other components of the frame plate assembly may be overmolded inside a frame. Plates, frames and tubes may all be robustly sealed. One piece bonded plug and frames enable reduced use of O-rings and other wear items.
