A fuel cell deterioration prevention system includes a cell voltage stability determination unit determining cell voltage stability according to a preset operating condition, a fuel cell deterioration diagnosing unit diagnosing deterioration of a fuel cell by changing and controlling a control variable pre-selected according to an operating condition and monitoring a resultant change in the cell voltage of the fuel cell, and a deterioration avoidance operation control unit performing a deterioration avoidance operation based on a diagnosis result of the fuel cell deterioration diagnosing unit.
Remotely controlled electrical power generating system
An externally-controllable electrical power generating system for providing auxiliary or backup power to a load bus or device. The system may be used indoors, and generally includes a power source comprising a first DC output, an electrical storage unit comprising a DC input coupled to the first DC output of the power source, the electrical storage unit further comprising a second DC output. An inverter coupled to the second DC output receives power, the inverter having a first AC output that can be synchronized with an AC load bus or AC grid. The system includes a contactor connected between the first AC output and an AC load bus, and is controllable with an external controller operated by a utility or a managing entity, such that the external controller can enable the controller to connect or disconnect the contactor.
BATTERY AND MOTOR SYSTEM FOR REPLACING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A battery-powered motor may include an electric motor, a controller, and a housing. The electric motor may be wound to enable the battery-powered motor to achieve a non-limited motor maximum motor revolutions per minute (RPM) for at least one specified battery. The controlling current may include limiting current to the electric motor at lower RPMs, and limiting the current to prevent the RPM of the electric motor from exceeding a limited maximum motor RPM which is lower than the non-limited motor maximum RPM. The housing may enclose the electric motor and the controller and the specified battery. The housing may have a form factor to engage with a machine that engages with an internal combustion engine that has a maximum engine RPM that is approximately the same as the limited maximum motor RPM.
FUEL CELL MODULE
A fuel cell module includes: a cell stack in which fuel cells are stacked; and a stack temperature controller through which the oxidant gas before being supplied to the cell stack flows. The fuel cell module includes a warm-up burner that produces combustion gas for warming the cell stack. The warm-up burner is arranged outside a housing space in which the cell stack is housed. The stack temperature controller is arranged to face the cell stack with a predetermined gap therebetween so as to exchange heat with the cell stack. The stack temperature controller is located adjacent to a combustion gas passage through which the combustion gas generated by the warm-up burner flows so as to allow heat exchange between the oxidant gas flowing through the stack temperature controller and the combustion gas generated by the warm-up burner.
HYDROGEN SYSTEM OPERATION PLANNING DEVICE
To provide a hydrogen system operation planning device capable of accurately preparing an operation plan that achieves efficient operation in a hydrogen system. In the hydrogen system operation planning device of the embodiment, a classification unit receives input of DR commands regarding demand for electric power in the hydrogen system and classifies the input DR commands into a first DR group and a second DR group with a lower priority than the first DR group. A first planning unit prepares a first operation plan to reflect the DR command classified into the first DR group. A second planning unit prepares a second operation plan by reflecting contents of the DR command classified into the second DR group on the first operation plan so that contents of the DR command classified into the first DR group have priority over the contents of the DR command classified into the second DR group.
Vehicle including power generation device
A vehicle includes: a power storage device; a rotary electric machine; a power generation device; a heat radiation unit configured to radiate exhaust heat from the rotary electric machine and the power generation device; and a control device configured to control power generation by the power generation device so as to increase an amount of power generated by the power generation device when vehicle required power due to drive of the vehicle is smaller than predetermined power compared to when the vehicle required power is larger than the predetermined power. An amount of power generated by the rotary electric machine and the power generation device is equal to or less than allowable generated electric power calculated from the amount of heat that is able to radiated by the heat radiation unit.
Systems and methods of using an energy storage device to assist an ejector
The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for using an energy storage device to assist a venturi or an ejector in a fuel cell or fuel stack system.
Electrical power control system
An electrical power control system includes a first fuel cell system and a second fuel cell system, and a waste electricity unit connected in series with a switch unit. The waste electricity unit and the switch unit are connected in parallel with each of the fuel cell systems. At a time when at least one power supply system is started, a control unit selectively executes a charging control and a waste electricity control, based on at least one of temperature information and electrical storage information. The charging control suppresses a rise in voltage by supplying the electrical power of the power supply system to the power storage device. The waste electricity control suppresses a rise in voltage by supplying the electrical power of the power supply system to the waste electricity unit.
