GLOW PLUG FOR A FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Various embodiments disclose a glow plug for a solid oxide fuel cell system. The glow plug includes a housing having a first end portion and a second end portion. The glow plug includes a heating element longitudinally disposed in the housing, extending from the second end portion of the housing towards the first end portion and extending outwardly from the housing for igniting fuel. Further, the glow plug includes a pair of coiled wires electrically connected to the heating element. Further, the glow plug includes a potting compound disposed within the second end portion of the housing for securing electrical coupling of the pair of coiled wires with the heating element. Furthermore, the glow plug includes a sealing element configured to form an air-tight connection between the housing and the heating element. The sealing element is positioned on top of the potting compound.

A cell stack device according to the present disclosure includes: a cell stack comprising a plurality of cells; and a manifold configured to supply reaction gas to the plurality of cells, wherein each of the plurality of cells includes: an element part comprising: a fuel electrode layer that is located on the fuel electrode layer; a solid electrolyte layer that is located on the fuel electrode layer; a middle layer that is located on the solid electrolyte layer; and an air electrode layer that is located on the middle layer, the middle layer including: a first middle layer bonded to the solid electrolyte layer; and a second middle layer bonded to the air electrode layer; and a non-element part of the cell that comprises the entire cell excluding the air electrode layer, the non-element part located at least at a first of both ends of the plurality of cells in a longitudinal direction, and the plurality of cells is fixed to the manifold at least at the first end by a sealing material located between the manifold and either the solid electrolyte layer or the first middle layer.

At least one of the base member and the covering layer includes an exposed surface that is exposed to the oxidizing atmosphere. The surface roughness of the exposed surface is different from the surface roughness of the first surface or the first outer surface.
Methanol solid oxide fuel cell and power generation system comprising the same
The present invention provides a methanol solid oxide fuel cell and a power generation system comprising the same, wherein the fuel cell is a tubular SOFC cell stack, the tubular SOFC cell stack comprises a plurality of tubular SOFC single cells, and a side wall of an inner pipe of the tubular SOFC single cell at a fuel inlet is of a porous layer structure; an inner wall of the inner pipe is coated with a methanol pyrolysis catalyst layer, and the thickness of the catalyst layer gradually increases along a moving direction of the fuel in the inner pipe. The methanol solid oxide fuel cell can effectively relieve carbon deposition of the anode of the methanol SOFC, and can ensure that the temperature of the whole cell is more uniform and the cell performance is more stable.

The present invention provides a methanol solid oxide fuel cell and a power generation system comprising the same, wherein the fuel cell is a tubular SOFC cell stack, the tubular SOFC cell stack comprises a plurality of tubular SOFC single cells, and a side wall of an inner pipe of the tubular SOFC single cell at a fuel inlet is of a porous layer structure; an inner wall of the inner pipe is coated with a methanol pyrolysis catalyst layer, and the thickness of the catalyst layer gradually increases along a moving direction of the fuel in the inner pipe. A module of the present invention is formed by housing, in a housing container, a cell stack device that includes cell stacks comprising an arrangement of a plurality of cells. The housing container includes a housing chamber that houses the cell stack device; a first gas introduction section provided in a lower portion of the housing chamber and configured to introduce a first gas supplied into the housing chamber; and a first gas circulation section provided on a side of the housing chamber and connected to the first gas introduction section. The width of the first gas circulation section is narrower than the width of the first gas introduction section.
