According to embodiments of the disclosure, the slip-resistant material can partially conform to the body's contours during physical activity to eliminate, or at least to reduce, slippage. The slip-resistant material can be a coated lightweight, synthetic hexagonal mesh. The slip-resistant material can also be a base wicking fabric with soft nodules formed on it. The slip-resistant material can also be a base wicking fabric with a top layer comprising nodules and pores. The slip-resistant material can also be a combination of a base wicking fabric with a polymer-based thread. The embodiments of the disclosure are safe to be worn directly against skin and are comfortable, breathable, and durable. The embodiments of the disclosure can be used as a liner between an article and the wearer's skin to hold the article in place during movement.

An insole having a top sheet, a base layer, a forefoot pad, a heel cushion, and support cushion, as well as a strength layer inserted between those components to strengthen and enhance the durability of the insole. The forefoot pad can be made a blown EVA or other material, and the heel cushion can be made of a clear TPR, soft polyurethane or blown EVA. The support cushion has a raised lateral arch and a raised medial arch, the later of which has longitudinal curvilinear indentations, a flattened central midfoot area with a metatarsal mid-foot tear-drop raised area and longitudinal ridges on the flat midfoot area. A heel cup surrounds the exterior back by a heel cup, and a heel pod opening goes through the entirety of the thickness of base layer of the insole body for placement of the heel pad so the heel pad is affixed to the bottom surface of the base layer. There is also a supersoft metatarsal raised dome on the top (foot contact) surface of the insole which would be directly above the metatarsal midfoot area.

An insole having a top sheet and a base layer with three pieces that include a base layer, a forefoot pad made of a clear TPR gel and a mid-foot to heel cushion made of a supersoft polyurethane. The midfoot/heel surface has a raised arch with criss-crossing longitudinal curvilinear indentations, a flattened midfoot area with a metatarsal midfoot tear-drop raised area, and a heel cup that surrounds the exterior back of the heel. A heel pod opening goes through the entirety of the thickness of base layer of the insole body and a heel pad is affixed to the bottom surface of the base layer being made of a clear TPR gel or blown EVA. There is also a supersoft heel dome and a metatarsal raised dome on the top (foot contact) surface of the insole which would be directly above the heel pod and the metatarsal midfoot area, respectively.

A material that includes at least one layer made of an auxetic structure and articles of footwear having soles comprising the materials. When the material is under tension, it expands in both the direction under tension and in the directional orthogonal to the direction under tension. The articles of footwear have soles that have at least one layer made of a material that has a pattern of apertures to provide the auxetic structure. The apertures are surrounded by sole portions that can rotate or pivot to change the size of the apertures.

Methods of bladder molding at least a portion of an upper for an article of footwear

Methods for manufacturing at least a portion of an upper for an article of footwear that include thermo-forming a pattern on the upper. The methods may include disposing a skin for forming an upper over and inflatable bladder and disposing a mold insert between the skin and a surface of a mold cavity. The mold insert may include a mold pattern including surface features formed in the mold insert. The inflatable bladder may be inflated such that the skin is pressed against the mold insert within a heated mold cavity to form a pattern on an exterior surface of the skin and cause the skin to take on the shape of at least a portion of an upper. In some embodiments, the surface features may be disposed in a gradient pattern configured to provide varying degrees of one or more characteristics to different areas of an upper.
