The sealing plate includes an outer peripheral portion having a flat plate shape, an inner peripheral portion having a flat plate shape, an inclined portion provided between the outer and inner peripheral portions. The inclined portion is inclined such that the inner peripheral portion is positioned on an outer side of the battery can than the outer peripheral portion. The inclined portion includes a thin portion and a thicker base portion. The thin portion and the base portion are arranged in a radial direction of the sealing plate.
