CYLINDRICAL SECONDARY BATTERY
A cylindrical secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly including a positive electrode plate, a separator, and a negative electrode plate; a cylindrical can accommodating the electrode assembly and being electrically connected to the negative electrode plate, a lower end of the cylindrical can being open; a rivet terminal passing through an upper surface of the cylindrical can and electrically connected to the positive electrode plate; and a cap plate sealing the lower end of the cylindrical can, the cap plate having no electrical polarity.
SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes: a power generation element; and an exterior part that houses the power generation element in the exterior part. The exterior part includes a cylindrical section that includes opening portions on two opposing sides, cover terminals that are disposed in the respective opening portions, and resins respectively disposed between the cylindrical section and the cover terminals. The cylindrical section and the cover terminals are respectively integrated with the resins. Power collectors of the power generation element are electrically connected with the cover terminals, respectively.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
A rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; a case including an opening disposed in one side and receiving the electrode assembly; a cap assembly combined to the opening and closing and sealing the case; a first electrode tab extending from the first electrode and combined to the case; and a second electrode tab extending from the second electrode and combined to the cap assembly, wherein the cap assembly includes a first metal layer contacting the second electrode tab, a second metal layer spaced from the first metal layer and contacting the case, and a first plastic portion insulating between the first metal layer and the second metal layer.
BATTERY
A battery includes a bottomed cylindrical case body that accommodates an electrode body and a bottom-portion insulating plate (19) that is disposed between the electrode body and a bottom portion of the case body. The bottom portion of the case body has a gas discharge port that opens when an internal pressure of the battery reaches a predetermined pressure. The bottom-portion insulating plate (19) has a through hole. An aperture ratio, which is a ratio of an area of the through hole with respect to a total area of the insulating plate, is greater than or equal to 10% and less than or equal to 40%. A Young's modulus of the bottom-portion insulating plate at 25° C. is 10 GPa or greater.
Sealing body for sealed battery and sealed battery
A sealing body according to the present invention is sealing body for a sealed battery including conductive terminal cap, a conductive explosion-proof valve electrically connected to the terminal cap, a conductive terminal plate having an abutting surface abutting the explosion-proof valve, and an insulating plate disposed between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate. A welded part between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate is formed in the inner part of the abutting surface, and the plan-view shape of the welded part is a shape defining an enclosed region, a C-shape, or a spiral shape. A notch part surrounding the welded part is formed in the terminal plate. The breaking pressure of the welded part is higher than the breaking pressure of the notch part.
Glass-To-Metal Seal Terminal Pin For An Electrochemical Cell
A lid assembly for an electrochemical cell comprises a plate-shaped lid having an opening and a glass-to-metal seal (GTMS) residing in the lid opening. The GTMS does not have a ferrule. Instead, the GTMS has a sealing glass that seals directly to a terminal pin and to the lid. The terminal pin has an enlarged diameter pin section contacted by the sealing glass and a first reduced diameter pin section extending axially outwardly from the enlarged diameter pin section. An electrochemical cell provided with the lid assembly is also described.
