In one embodiment, a battery includes an exterior unit, an electrode group, an electrode terminal, tab bundles and a lead. The electrode group is housed in an interior cavity of the exterior unit, and the electrode terminal is exposed to an outside. Current collecting tabs are stacked in the thickness direction of the electrode group in each of the tab bundles having the same polarity. The tab bundles protrude from the electrode group to the same side in the length direction of the electrode group. The lead establishes an electric connection between the respective tab bundles and the electrode terminal. The tab bundles are bonded to the lead at positions deviated from one another in the thickness direction, and are mounted on the lead from the same side in the thickness direction.

The present application provides a secondary battery, which includes a first electrode assembly, a second electrode assembly, a case, and a top cap assembly. The top cap assembly includes a top cap plate and a first electrode terminal, the top cap plate is connected to the case, and the first electrode terminal is arranged on the top cap plate. The first electrode assembly includes a first body and first tabs extending from the first body, and the first tabs are multiple and stacked. The second electrode assembly includes a second body and second tabs extending from the second body, and the second tabs are multiple and stacked. An end of each of the second tabs that is away from the second body is a second end portion. Each of the first tabs includes a first connecting portion extending beyond the second end portion.

The present application provides a secondary battery, which includes a first electrode assembly, a second electrode assembly, a case, and a top cap assembly. The top cap assembly includes a top cap plate and a first electrode terminal, the top cap plate is connected to the case, and the first electrode terminal is arranged on the top cap plate. The first electrode assembly includes a first body and first tabs extending from the first body, and the first tabs are multiple and stacked. The second electrode assembly includes a second body and second tabs extending from the second body, and the second tabs are multiple and stacked. An end of each of the second tabs that is away from the second body is a second end portion. Each of the first tabs includes a first connecting portion extending beyond the second end portion.

Here, the negative electrode terminal is caulked on the taper part in a state of being arranged in the penetration hole, an outer circumference smoothing part including a step difference is formed at the outer circumferential edge on the caulked part, and a join part exists at which the outer circumference smoothing part and the edge part of the penetration hole are joined.

The battery cell in one embodiment of the application includes a casing having an opening and provided with a pressure relief mechanism which is actuated to relieve an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell when the internal pressure or temperature reaches a threshold value; an electrode assembly accommodated in the casing, and including a body portion and a tab portion protruding therefrom; and a cover assembly for covering the opening. A first recessed portion is formed on one side, abutting against the body portion and facing the electrode assembly, of the cover assembly. The cover assembly is provided with at least one first channel. The first channel can reduce the gas accumulated between the electrode assembly and the cover assembly, thereby reducing the safety risk.
