The frame includes a terrace expansion restraining portion including an inclined surface structured to support a pouch terrace portion of the secondary battery and formed at a surface of the frame adjacent to a surface including the ventilation guiding portion. A ventilation control portion is formed to provide a space between the first frame and the second frame to be connected to the ventilation guiding portion.

The method may include manufacturing each of a first electrode lead and a second electrode lead, bonding the first electrode lead to the second electrode lead form a connection part. Manufacturing the first electrode lead may include unwinding a first metal plate from a first metal reel, attaching a first tape to perform masking on a first connection area to form the connection part, plating and surface treating on the first metal plate, and removing the first tape. Manufacturing the second electrode lead may include unwinding a second metal plate from a second metal reel, attaching a second tape to perform masking on a second connection area to form the connection part, plating and surface treating the second metal plate, and removing the second tape.

A pouch-type battery cell includes a battery case including a metal layer and polymer resin layer, and an electrode assembly disposed within the battery case, the battery case further including an electrode assembly receiving part formed in at least one of an upper case and a lower case of the battery case, and a venting member disposed on an outer surface of the electrode assembly receiving part at a location adjacent to a sealing part of the battery case, wherein the venting member is made of a shape memory alloy that is deformed to penetrate the battery case when a temperature of the venting member increases to a value above a transition temperature of the shape memory alloy. The secondary battery may comprises a sealing part formed on a pouch type exterior. The sealing part may comprise a main sealing part formed along a circumference of the recess part, and a protruding sealing part protruding from the main sealing part toward the electrode assembly. The protruding sealing part may comprise a first protruding sealing part formed between the first electrode lead and the second electrode lead, and a second protruding sealing part provided at a left side of the first electrode lead.
