The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a shoe upper, including the steps of: providing at least one stretchable portion on the shoe upper; stretching the at least one stretchable portion of the shoe upper for adapting a size of the shoe upper; and permanently attaching at least one rigid element at least partly on the stretched stretchable portion so that the stretched stretchable portion is locked.

A warp knit element for an article of footwear includes a plurality of cell structures that extend from a sole structure to a lacing region of an upper.

A sneaker may comprise an outsole. The outsole may comprise a heel zone disposed adjacent a first end of the outsole. The outsole may comprise a forefoot zone disposed adjacent a second end of the outsole opposite the first end. The forefoot zone may be formed from a first climbing rubber. The outsole may comprise a durability zone disposed at a midfoot of the outsole interposed between the heel zone and forefoot zone. The sneaker may comprise an upper coupled to the outsole. In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to an article at least partially formed by a knitted component. In some embodiments, the article may include an upper for an article of footwear. The knitted component may include a seamless portion extending from a toe area, through a midfoot area, and to a heel area of the upper on at least one of a lateral and a medial side of the upper. A first course may at least partially form the knitted component, and the first course may extend from the heel area to the toe area of the upper.

An upper for an article of footwear is configured to be connected to a sole structure and is configured to receive a foot. The upper includes a knitted component having a strobel portion that is configured to be disposed underneath the foot. The knitted component may have a first portion and a second portion, where the first portion of the knitted component at least partially forms a foot-receiving portion of the upper, where the second portion of the knitted component at least partially forms a strap of the upper, where the strap includes a first edge and a second edge secured to the first portion of the knitted component, and where the strap includes a third edge that extends from the first edge to the second edge.

An article of footwear includes a sole and an upper. The upper includes a leno woven fabric having a continuous leno weave pattern of a plurality of warp yarns extending in a longitudinal direction and a plurality of weft yarns extending in a transverse direction. The leno woven fabric includes zones having different stretch characteristics.

An article of footwear provides improved stability and support by incorporating a strap to overlay over an instep area of an upper component that is comprised of a knitted material. The strap includes engagement members on an underside of the strap that engage ribbing structures that are part of the knitted material on an outer surface of the instep area. By engaging with the ribbing structures, the strap provides improved stability and support.
