FOOTWEAR WITH COMPRESSIBLE FLUID-FILLED CHAMBER
20220322791 · 2022-10-13 · ·

Articles of footwear having an upper and a sole structure are described, as well as methods of making the articles. The upper includes an adjustment system having a base element, a fluid-filled chamber, an adjusting element, an anchoring element, and a tensile strand. The adjusting element is positioned outward from the fluid-filled chamber. The anchoring element is secured to the base element and is spaced from the adjusting element. The tensile strand extends between the adjusting element and the anchoring element. The adjusting element is operable to change a tension placed upon the tensile strand.

Article of footwear with an adaptive fluid system

An adaptive fluid system for an article of footwear is disclosed. The adaptive fluid system includes a fluid chamber that provides cushioning and shock absorption for a foot. The adaptive fluid system includes an adjustable pressure regulating valve that may be used to control the pressure of the fluid chamber. The adaptive fluid system includes a valve that prevents fluid from escaping from a fluid chamber during use.

Method and system for forming a bladder
11440237 · 2022-09-13 · ·

A method for forming a bladder comprises providing a mold including a chamber wall having a first height and a cavity wall having a second height. The cavity wall is surrounded by the chamber wall and defines a plurality of cavities. A first sheet, a second sheet, and a gasket are provided to the mold, whereby the gasket is disposed adjacent to at least one of the first sheet and the second sheet. The mold is moved such that a peripheral portion of the at least one of the first sheet and the second sheet and the gasket are compressed by the chamber wall. A first pressure is provided between the first sheet and the second sheet through the gasket to form a plurality of chambers, and the mold is moved to a second position to seal the first pressure between the first sheet and the second sheet.

Hot melt sequins and methods of applying these sequins are disclosed. The sequins may be stitched to a layer of an article in a pattern to form a relatively rigid structure. The sequins may be made of a hotmelt material and melted to form a continuous structure. The sequins may be located along a lacing region and used as eyelets to secure laces.

VACUUM ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR ARTICLE OF APPAREL OR FOOTWEAR
20220095743 · 2022-03-31 · ·

An article includes a receptacle defining an interior void and an adjustment element attached to the receptacle. The adjustment element includes bladder defining one or more chambers each having a compressible component disposed therein. The adjustment element is operable between a contracted configuration providing the receptacle with a first size and an expanded configuration providing the receptacle with a second size different than the first size by adjusting a pressure within the one or more chambers.

Vacuum Pump Assembly For Article Of Footwear

An article of footwear includes an upper and a sole coupled to the upper. The article of footwear includes a vacuum pump assembly. The vacuum pump assembly includes a flexible bladder and a pump disposed in the sole and in fluid communication with the bladder. The pump removes air from the bladder to draw a vacuum within the bladder. The pump includes a plunger that activates the pump in response to the application of force against the sole. The bladder constricts and conforms the upper against the wearer's foot as the pump removes air from the bladder to generate the vacuum.

INFLATABLE MASSAGE SHOES

An inflatable massage shoe includes a sole, a vamp installed on the sole, and an inflatable massage device having a main airbag and a massage airbag connected to the main airbag. The main airbag is installed on the sole and has an elastic device installed in the main airbag; the massage airbag is installed on an inner side of the vamp and communicated with the main airbag through a pipeline, and a gas in the main airbag can be exchanged with the gas in the massage airbag through the pipeline; and the vamp further includes a protective shell and an inner lining, and the massage airbag is installed between the protective shell and the inner lining. This inflatable massage shoe provides active massage actions, simulates the massage effect, and improves the comfortability, practicality, and promotion of massage shoes.

Articles with embroidered sequins in variable patterns

Hot melt sequins and methods of applying these sequins are disclosed. Sequins can be arranged in various patterns. Sequins can be arranged in dispersive patterns. Sequin patterns can be used to create gradients on the outside of an upper. The sequins can be used to attach two layers where the density of the sequins used to attach the layers can affect thermal properties, flexibility and relative motion between the layers.

Fluid flow control devices usable in adjustable foot support systems
11147342 · 2021-10-19 · ·

Foot support systems include a fluid flow regulator and/or valve that: (a) can operate as a stop valve to stop transfer of fluid between a first fluid container and a second fluid container, (b) can open in a controlled manner to allow transfer of fluid from the second fluid container to the first fluid container, (c) can open to equalize pressure in the first and second fluid containers, and (d) can act as a check valve to enable flow of fluid from the first fluid container to the second fluid container when/if gas pressure in the first container exceeds that in the second container by a predetermined amount. Additional features relate to fluid flow control systems and methods, systems and methods for changing and controlling the crack pressure of a valve (e.g., a check valve), and/or systems and methods for matching foot support pressure features in two different sole structures.
