RECHARGEABLE BATTERY AND METHOD FOR MOLDING INSULATOR
A rechargeable battery includes a battery case, a cover that closes an open end of the battery case, and a power collection terminal arranged on the cover to supply power from a power generating element to an external terminal. The power collection terminal extends through a gasket arranged on a lower surface of the cover, an insulator arranged on an upper surface of the cover, and the external terminal arranged on an upper surface of the insulator. An annular sealing member is held between the lower surface of the cover and the gasket. The insulator is a resin-molded component. The insulator includes a through hole defined by an inner wall that includes a lower open end, an upper open end, and a central portion. At least one of the lower open end and the upper open end has a larger diameter than the central portion.
Battery post terminal assembly
A battery post terminal assembly includes a conductive band and a clamp mechanism. The conductive band includes a first free end and a second free end. The conductive band defines an aperture for receiving a battery post of a battery. The clamp mechanism includes a wedge member that defines a recess between a first surface and a second surface thereof. The recess has an open end and a closed end that is narrower than the open end. The first surface is convex. The first free end and the second free end are positioned in the recess. The first free end is movable along the first surface toward the closed end to be moved by the first surface toward the second free end to tighten the conductive band around the battery post.
Secondary battery
The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, a cap plate sealing the case and including an inversion plate, and a terminal assembly. The terminal assembly includes an insulation plate coupled to a top surface of the cap plate and having a short-circuit hole corresponding to the inversion plate and an air hole spaced apart from the short-circuit hole, a terminal plate coupled to a top surface of the insulation plate and electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and a sealing member coupled to a bottom surface of the insulation plate and opening or closing the air hole.

A rechargeable battery includes a case accommodating an electrode assembly; a cap plate coupled to the case and having a short-circuit hole; a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal extending through the cap plate and electrically connected to the electrode assembly; a membrane fixed to the cap plate in the short-circuit hole and configured to electrically connect the first electrode terminal and the second electrode terminal to cause a short circuit; a connection plate electrically connected to the first electrode terminal and spaced from a side of a short-circuit member; a top insulating member located between the connection plate and the cap plate; and a fixing member fixed to the cap plate and supporting the top insulating member.
Secondary battery and method for producing secondary battery
Disclosed is a secondary battery capable of preventing damage to a current interrupt device caused by generation and transmission of vibration, and thereby achieving prevention of malfunction of the current interrupt device, and improvement of quality of the secondary battery. In addition, disclosed is a method of manufacturing the secondary battery. Specifically disclosed is a secondary battery, in which a positive electrode terminal is placed on the upper face of a sealing plate, a holder is placed on the lower face of the sealing plate, and the sealing plate is joined to the positive electrode terminal and the holder by a rivet. The secondary battery includes an adhered portion for adhering the holder to the sealing plate.
ELECTRICITY STORAGE DEVICE
An electricity storage device includes a case and two electrode terminal portions provided in a cover plate of the case. Each of the electrode terminal portions includes (a) a bolt-shaped electrode terminal that has a head portion and a threaded portion and is inserted into a corresponding terminal hole of the cover plate from the inner side of the case, (b) a ring-shaped first gasket between the electrode terminal and a circumferential portion of the corresponding terminal hole, (c) a nut that fixes the electrode terminal to the cover plate, (d) a washer between the nut and the cover plate, (e) a second gasket between the washer and the cover plate, and (f) a third gasket disposed between the head portion of the electrode terminal and the cover plate. Each of the first to third gaskets contains a fluororesin, and an acrylic sealing agent is disposed between each second gasket and a corresponding washer, between the cover plate and each second gasket, between each third gasket and the head portion of a corresponding electrode terminal, and between the cover plate and each third gasket.
RECTANGULAR SECONDARY BATTERY
A rectangular secondary battery includes: an electrode body including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate; a rectangular battery case having an opening and housing the electrode body; a sealing plate sealing the opening; a current collector connected to an edge of the positive electrode plate or the negative electrode plate at a longitudinal end of the sealing plate; and an external terminal located outside the sealing plate and connected to the current collector. The current collector is a block body with a thickness along a width of the sealing plate, and having a hole at an end closer to the sealing plate. The current collector is connected to the external terminal with a connector interposed therebetween which is inserted into the hole.
CURRENT SENSOR
The current sensor includes a battery terminal part that has electrical conductivity and is fastened to a battery post constituting a negative electrode of a battery, and a shunt resistor that is conductively connected to the battery terminal part via a joint part, the shunt resistor including a first detection terminal and a second detection terminal for detecting an electric current. The battery terminal part includes a third detection terminal for detecting a voltage of the battery between the joint part and the battery post. As a result, the current sensor can properly detect a voltage of the battery together with an electric current.
BATTERY PACK AND DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A battery pack includes a battery module having electrode terminals; a battery module frame accommodating the battery module; an upper housing including at least one through opening and covering an upper portion of the battery module frame; a busbar positioned at an upper portion of the battery module frame and connected to the electrode leads of the battery module; an internal bolt positioned at an upper portion of the battery module frame, protruding upward through the through opening and connected to the busbar; and a terminal passing through the through opening to be connected to the busbar and the internal bolt, wherein the terminal includes a nut-shaped fastening part which is fastened with the internal bolt.
TERMINAL FOR A SECONDARY CELL AND A TERMINAL RIVET
This disclosure presents a terminal (30) for a secondary cell (40). The terminal (30) comprises a terminal plate (20) comprising a through-hole (21) and an inner surface (23) adapted to face the interior of the secondary cell (40). The terminal (30) further comprises a terminal rivet (1) that extends through the through-hole (21) of the terminal plate (20). The terminal rivet (1) comprises a first flange (6) that comprises a protruding portion (7), and the protruding portion (7) extends into the inner surface (23) of the terminal plate (20) in a riveted state (1b). The disclosure also presents a terminal rivet (1).
