A cell module includes a plurality of battery cells each having a safety valve at a first end in a height direction, a first current collector plate including a main body having a through hole that at least partly overlaps the safety valve when viewed along the height direction and a lead extending into the through hole from the main body and being electrically connected to a first terminal of each of the battery cells, an exhaust duct disposed over a surface of the first current collector plate remote from the battery cells, and an insulating film being made of an insulating material and covering an area of the first current collector plate facing the exhaust duct. The safety valve opens when an internal pressure of any of the battery cells reaches or exceeds a predetermined level.

A battery thermal runaway detection sensor system for use within a battery enclosure housing one or more batteries. The system has at least one gas sensor for detecting a venting condition of a battery cell of hydrogen, carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide, and providing a sensed output in real time. A microcontroller determines power management and signal conditioned output on the concentration of specific battery venting gases based on the sensed output from said at least one gas sensor.

The battery cell includes an electrode assembly; and a housing configured to accommodate the electrode assembly, where a first wall of the housing includes a first body and a mounting body connected to the first body, the mounting body is provided with a pressure relief mechanism, and the pressure relief mechanism is configured to be actuated when internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold, so as to relieve the pressure; in a thickness direction of the first wall, at least part of the mounting body protrudes out of a surface of the first body facing the electrode assembly in a direction approaching the electrode assembly.

The present application relates to a battery cell, a battery, a power consumption apparatus, and a manufacturing method and device of a battery cell. The battery cell includes: a shell comprising a wall part; an electrode assembly disposed within the shell; and an insulating member disposed between the electrode assembly and the wall part to isolate the wall part from the electrode assembly in an insulating manner. The insulating member is configured to elastically support the electrode assembly to buffer vibration of the electrode assembly within the shell.

A battery includes a protective box provided with a guiding channel and a plurality of battery cells in the protective box. The pressure relief mechanism is configured to actuate release of internal pressure of the first battery cell in response to the internal pressure or an internal temperature of the first battery cell reaching a threshold. The guiding channel is configured to guide emissions released from the pressure relief mechanism. The pressure relief end of the first battery cell is staggered with one end of the second battery cell that is close to the pressure relief end, in a direction leaving the guiding channel.
