This application relates to a battery, an electric apparatus, and a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a battery. The battery includes a plurality of battery cells and an insulation part. The plurality of battery cells are electrically connected by a busbar; and the battery cell includes a pressure relief mechanism, and the pressure relief mechanism is configured to be actuated when internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold, to release the internal pressure. The insulation part is configured to cover the busbar, to prevent emissions from the battery cell from causing short circuit of at least one battery cell when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated.

SECONDARY BATTERY

A secondary battery includes: a battery element; a case housing the battery element; a positive-electrode external terminal and a negative-electrode external terminal provided outside the case and electrically connected to the battery element; and a short-circuiting mechanism configured to establish a short-circuit between the positive and negative external terminals through the case. The short-circuiting mechanism includes a conducting portion conductively connected to one of the positive and negative external terminals so as to face the case, an inversion plate provided at a portion of the case facing the conducting portion and configured to deform to approach the conducting portion when an internal pressure of the case rises, and a brazing material provided on one of the conducting portion and the inversion plate at a position between the conducting portion and the inversion plate.

Aspects of the current subject matter relate to methods and system for protecting a battery cell and/or a /pack of multiple battery cells serving as a power source of a vaporizer device from developing a short-circuit in a vaporizer device. In one aspect, a vaporizer device is provided. The vaporizer device may include a power source including a battery and a power source lead extending outward from a distal end of the battery. The vaporizer device may further include a printed circuit board (PCB) electrically coupled to the power source via the power source lead extending outward from the battery. The vaporizer device may further include an insulator at least partially surrounding the power source lead. The insulator may be mechanically coupled to at least one of the power source and the PCB.

The vaporizer device may further include an insulator at least partially surrounding the power source lead. The insulator may be mechanically coupled to at least one of the power source and the PCB.

This disclosure provides a battery module and a battery pack. The battery module includes: a battery set including a plurality of batteries arranged in an array, each of the batteries includes an explosion-proof valve; a cover plate disposed on the battery set; and a thermosensitive assembly disposed between the battery set and the cover plate, the thermosensitive assembly being connected with the cover plate, the thermosensitive assembly including a thermosensitive wire, and thermosensitive wire can provide a prompt signal indicating that the explosion-proof valve of the battery is burst. The battery module according to embodiments of the present disclosure can accurately and effectively transmit the information regarding thermal runaway occurring in the battery to the outside, such that the battery module has a performance of alerting the thermal runaway.

The present disclosure provides a sealing plate including a gas release vent capable of suppressing scattering of a metallic fragment during activation. A gas release vent of a sealing plate disclosed herein includes: a base portion with a flat plate shape; a thin portion which is thinner than the base portion; a groove portion formed in the thin portion; and a valve element formed inside the groove portion. In addition, the groove portion has a remaining portion which is a region with a larger remaining thickness as compared to another region of the groove portion. The remaining portion of the groove portion is formed in a region including one intersection point among two intersection points where a straight line which passes a center of the gas release vent and which extends in a short-side direction of the sealing plate intersects the groove portion with the approximately annular shape.
