Toe protector for athletic footwear having removable cleats
A toe protector adapted to be removably attached to an external portion of the toe-box of cleated athletic footwear having removable cleats to protect an athlete's foot from crush injuries. The toe protector includes plantar flanges, each having at least one threaded cleat stud receiving hole used to attach the toe protector to the cleated athletic footwear in an external relationship. It is formed plastic, polycarbonate, or other materials, having sufficient thickness and hardness to withstand deformation and deflect crush forces applied to the toe-box of the cleated athletic footwear. It is designed to be universally applicable to most all athletic footwear having removable cleats available from known manufacturers and can be easily transferable to other similarly sized cleated footwear.
Protective toe cap for industrial footwear
The invention relates to a one-piece protective toe cap for safety footwear, forming a concave frame consisting of a front wall with connected side walls, the upper edges of which are joined by a concave surface along the profile of the last. The contour or edge of the flange of the toe cap is provided with a recess in order to house a tab and provide comfort, as well as improving the appearance of the footwear (not shown in these documents). The design withstands impact tests of approximately 101.7 to 146.7 Joules (10.4 to 14.95 kgf-m), leaving clearance of approximately 11 mm to 14 mm in the capped shoe and not only at the tip of the cap.
Polyvinyl Chloride Safety Boots
A boot comprises: an outsole and an upper affixed to the outsole, the upper comprising a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) upper body and a composite toe cap. The composite toe cap comprises a fiberglass reinforced polymer, and the composite toe cap comprises a tapered surface.
Article of footwear designed to impart controlled spin on a ball when kicked with the toes
An article of sports footwear that changes shape in two ways. Firstly, a change of shape occurs when such footwear is used to kick a ball with the toes. This change of shape maximizes the area of contact with a ball that is kicked with the toes. Secondly, a change of shape occurs when the article of sports footwear bends during running. This change of shape shortens the entire length of the article of sports footwear in order to prevent tripping. A flexible toe cap encases the foot and parts of a traditional article of footwear and attaches at or near the tarsometatarsal joint of a wearer.
Induction heating apparatuses and processes for footwear manufacturing
An apparatus for making an article of footwear is provided. The apparatus may include a last shaped to resemble a human foot and being formed at least in part from a susceptor material that is thermally reactive to an electromagnetic field. The apparatus may also include an induction coil disposed proximate to the last and configured to produce an electromagnetic field that causes the susceptor material in the last to increase in temperature by induction heating.
Removable Rubberized Pointe Shoe Caps For Non-Traditional Studio and Other Flooring
Removable rubberized pointe shoe caps are provided for using ballet pointe shoes on non-traditional studio and other flooring. An exemplary removable cap for a ballet pointe shoe comprises a rubberized material having a shape that is a substantial replica of an exterior portion of a particular ballet pointe shoe of a dancer, wherein the rubberized material removably covers only (i) a front portion of the particular ballet pointe shoe that includes a box portion, and (ii) a portion of a bottom of the particular ballet pointe shoe, and wherein the rubberized material has a substantially tight fit with respect to the front portion and the bottom portion of the particular ballet pointe shoe. The rubberized material may be, for example, Silicone rubber.
Compositions for manufacturing footwear stiffeners
A microcellular shoe stiffener has at least one adhesive layer coextruded with and carried on a stiffener core. A liquid, such as liquid nitrogen, is introduced into the extruder for the stiffener core to produce a closed cell foam with a gaseous component. The gas reduces the weight and cost of the stiffener without significantly reducing stiffness and resiliency.
Sole structure for a sport shoe
A sole structure for a sport shoe can increase accelerating force during activities and achieve quick movements. A sole assembly 1 for an indoor shoe includes a sole body 2 formed of a soft elastic member and a plate-like member or planar sheet member 3 that is disposed at a position under the first to fourth distal phalanx DP.sub.1-DP.sub.4 of the wearer's foot on a foot sole contact surface 2A of the sole body 2, and that has a higher hardness than that of the sole body 2. The plate-like member 3 extends arcuately substantially in the foot width direction along the toes of the wearer's foot and has a narrow part 3C of a short length in the foot length direction, or a spacing gap, at a region between the first toe and the second toe.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR WITH IMPROVED STRUCTURE
An article of footwear including a first envelope, the first envelope extending lengthwise from a rear end to a front end, widthwise between a lateral side and a medial side, and heightwise from a bottom to a top end. The article of footwear further includes a functional component arranged opposite the first envelope, as well as a positioner to position the functional component with respect to the envelope.
