Multisegment array-fed ring-focus reflector antenna for wide-angle scanning
A multisegment array-fed reflector antenna includes a feed array consisting of a number of subarrays and a multisegment reflector to reflect multiple beams of the feed array into a number of elevation angles. A support structure couples the multisegment reflector to the feed array. The multisegment reflector includes two or more ring-focus parabolic segments, and each ring-focus parabolic segment is a parabolic surface extending along a circle around the support structure.
Sub-reflector assembly with extended dielectric radiator
In one embodiment, a sub-reflector assembly for a reflector antenna has (i) a waveguide transition at a waveguide end of the sub-reflector assembly and configured to fit within a waveguide, (ii) a dielectric radiator connected to the waveguide transition and extending both laterally and back towards the waveguide end of the sub-reflector assembly, and (iii) a sub-reflector connected to the dielectric radiator. By configuring the dielectric radiator to extend both laterally and back towards the dielectric end of the assembly, radiated energy from the waveguide is directed such that the sub-reflector assembly can be used with shallow reflector dishes (e.g., F/D ratio greater than 0.25) and still achieve sufficiently high directivity.
FEED SYSTEMS FOR MULTI-BAND PARABOLIC REFLECTOR MICROWAVE ANTENNA SYSTEMS
Microwave antenna systems include a parabolic reflector antenna having a feed bore and a feed assembly. The feed assembly includes a coaxial waveguide structure that extends through the feed bore, a sub-reflector, and a first dielectric block that is positioned between the coaxial waveguide structure and the sub-reflector. The coaxial waveguide structure includes a central waveguide and an outer waveguide that circumferentially surrounds the central waveguide. One of the central waveguide and the outer waveguide extends further from the feed bore towards the sub-reflector than the other of the central waveguide and the outer waveguide.
COMPACT RADIO FREQUENCY ANTENNA APPARATUSES
Antenna assemblies are described herein. In particular, described herein are multi-focal-point antenna devices and compact radio frequency (RF) antenna devices. Any of these assemblies may include a primary feed that includes a single patterned emitting surface from which multiple different beams of RF signals are emitted corresponding to different antenna input feeds each communicating with the patterned antenna emitting surface. The antenna assembly is therefore capable of emitting beams in the same direction having different polarizations using a single primary feed.
MULTISEGMENT ARRAY-FED RING-FOCUS REFLECTOR ANTENNA FOR WIDE-ANGLE SCANNING

A support structure couples the multisegment reflector to the feed array. The multisegment reflector includes two or more ring-focus parabolic segments, and each ring-focus parabolic segment is a parabolic surface extending along a circle around the support structure.
Integrated single-piece antenna feed
The invention is an integrated single-piece antenna feed, turnstile polarizer and antenna system suitable for satellite communications. One embodiment of the integrated single-piece antenna includes a circular waveguide input, a circular polarizer, a coaxial feed horn, subreflector and subreflector support. One embodiment of the circular polarizer features four branches of wrapped-single-ridged waveguide.
Radio system for long-range high speed wireless communication
One embodiment of the present invention provides a radio assembly. The radio assembly includes an antenna housing unit that houses a pair of reflectors which are situated on a front side of the antenna housing unit, a printed circuit board (PCB) that includes at least a transmitter and a receiver, and a backside cover. The PCB is situated within a cavity at a backside of the antenna housing unit and the backside cover covers the cavity, thereby enclosing the PCB within the antenna housing unit. One embodiment of the present invention provides a user interface for configuring a radio. The user interface includes a display and a number of selectable tabs presented on the display. A selection of a respective tab results in a number of user-editable fields being displayed, thereby facilitating a user in configuring and monitoring operations of the radio.
Antenna device
An antenna device vertically rotatable and horizontally rotatable is provided, which has a configuration in which waveguides are effectively disposed. An antenna device includes an antenna, a vertically rotating, and a rotary joint. The antenna is vertically rotatable and horizontally rotatable, and outwardly radiates a radio wave. The vertically rotating is disposed such that a longitudinal direction thereof is along an axial line of the vertical rotation and intersects perpendicularly with an axial line of the horizontal rotation. The rotary joint is coupled to the vertically rotating. Moreover, the antenna device includes a waveguide path passing through the inside of the rotary and the inside of the vertically rotating and connected with the antenna.

PARABOLIC REFLECTOR ANTENNAS WITH IMPROVED CYLINDRICALLY-SHAPED SHIELDS
Parabolic reflector antennas advantageously support low side lobe radiation patterns for ETSI class 4 performance, by utilizing: (i) metal choke plates adjacent a distal end of a dielectric cone within a sub-reflector assembly, (ii) “lossy” material feed boom waveguide sleeves and/or (iii) extended length cylindrical shields lined with radiation absorbing materials. Relatively shallow and large diameter parabolic reflectors having an F/D≤ratio of greater than about 0.25 may be provided with one or more of the identified (i)-(iii) enhancements.
