WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness, in which a connection portion between a shape retaining conductor and a flexible conductor can be protected, includes a flexible conductor that is flexibly bendable, a shape retaining conductor that retains its shape, and a protective member that surrounds a connection portion between the flexible conductor and the shape retaining conductor and linearly holds the connection portion, and one end portion of the protective member is fixed to an end portion of the shape retaining conductor.
CONNECTION DEVICE TO BE CRIMPED ONTO AN END SECTION OF CABLE, COMPRISING A CONDUCTING SHEATH PROVIDED WITH A WALL SEPARATING TWO HOUSINGS
A connection device includes a conducting element exhibiting a tubular portion and including a conducting sheath which is perforated with distributed perforations according to a predetermined solid-void pattern, the tubular portion and the sheath being configured in such a way that the sheath can be placed inside the tubular portion with the end section positioned inside the sheath and so that the tubular portion and the sheath can then be crimped onto the end section. The sheath includes at least one longitudinal wall separating two distinct housings each configured to accept one respective longitudinal portion of the end section of cable.
Electrical connector which can prevent deformation of core wire of coaxial cable caused by applied pressure onto the coaxial cable at time of crimping outer contact onto the coaxial cable
An electrical connector includes a contact pin to be connected to a core wire of a coaxial cable, an insulating housing for holding the contact pin therein, a cylindrical outer contact covering the housing and a crimping member for attaching the outer contact to the coaxial cable. A base end portion of the outer contact is located between an inner insulator layer and an outer conductor layer of the coaxial cable. The outer contact is attached to the coaxial cable by crimping the crimping member onto the outer conductor layer of the coaxial cable located on the base end portion of the outer contact.
CONNECTOR ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a connector arrangement (100) with a connector (101) and a cable (50) connected to the connector, wherein the cable has an inner conductor (51) and an outer conductor (52) and the connector has an inner conductor (103) and an outer conductor (105), wherein the connector arrangement has a crimping region in which the cable is crimped with a crimp barrel (10), wherein the crimp barrel has at least one radially inwardly directed lug (11).
MAGNET WIRE SPLICE TERMINAL
A splice terminal for connecting a magnet wire to a lead wire. The splice terminal includes a first closed section and a second open section. The first closed section has a first section bottom wall, first section side walls and a first section top wall. An opening is provided between the first section bottom wall, the first section side walls and the first section top wall. The opening is configured to receive the magnet wire therein. The opening has a height between the first section bottom wall and the first section top wall which is larger than the diameter of the magnet wire. The second open section has a second section bottom wall and second section side walls. The second section is configured to receive the magnet wire and the lead wire therein.
Crimp connection system for electrical cables comprising a fastening sleeve
A crimp connection system for electrical cables, including an electrical cable having a stripped cable end and a fastening sleeve. The stripped cable end is arranged at least partially within the fastening sleeve. The fastening sleeve has a number of fastening protrusions extending from the interior and/or outer surfaces of the fastening sleeve. The fastening protrusions are distributed over the interior and/or outer surfaces of the fastening sleeve. The crimp connection system also includes a contact terminal having a crimp portion. The fastening sleeve is arranged at least partially within the crimp portion.
CONDUCTIVE MEMBER
A conductive member that includes a flexible conductor in which a plurality of strands are bundled together and that has flexibility; a rigid conductor that has a shape retaining property; a body that is formed at an end portion of the rigid conductor and that surrounds the flexible conductor and is fixed to the flexible conductor; and a sliding contact that has a form protruding from an inner circumference of the body and with which the strands can make sliding contact, wherein the sliding contact has a bent shape.
Crimp Terminal
An electric connector terminal assembly which allows numerous different terminal connector ends and wire diameters to be connected to a single size and type crimp cylinder using an rolled metal strip insert. Preferably, the metal strip is made of copper, and preferably the copper strip is coated with tin. The metal strip is then formed into a cylinder for insertion to the crimp cylinder. A method for connecting a crimp terminal to an electric wire is also disclosed. The method requires cutting a metal strip to form a plurality of parallel compliant members (e.g., fingers) connected to a base, rolling the cut strip to form a cylindrical insert, positioning the insert within a crimp cylinder of an electric connector with the fingers extending toward the mating end, inserting an electric wire within the cylindrical insert, and crimping the crimp cylinder to secure the electric wire within the cylindrical insert and crimp cylinder.
Terminal/connector having integral oxide breaker element
A one piece integral electrical terminal has a mount portion and a wire receiving portion. The wire receiving portion has a continuous annular interior wall having a contact portion with an integral oxide breaker especially suited to breaking through the oxide layer on aluminum wire. The wire receiving portion also has a sealing portion with at least one integral seal ring. An electrical cable is made by crimping the electrical terminal to an aluminum wire using a modified hexagonal crimp.
Arrangement, tool and method for producing such an arrangement
An arrangement includes an electric cable having a first electric conductor and a contact device having a crimp barrel and a contact element mechanically and electrically connected to the crimp barrel. The crimp barrel extends along an axis and has a first inner circumferential side and a first outer circumferential side. A first impress and a second impress are stamped into a first sub-portion of the crimp barrel, the second impress is offset circumferentially from the first impress with respect to the axis. The first inner circumferential side is shaped by the first impress and the second impress in such a manner that the first inner circumferential side is pressed against a second outer circumferential side of the first electric conductor and electrically contacts the second outer circumferential side, with the first inner circumferential side fitting against the second outer circumferential side.
