SPE PLUG-IN CONNECTOR
An SPE plug-in connector includes a housing, a plug-in face, a contact assembly, and a connection side. The plug-in face is formed on one side of the housing having two plug-in contacts and preferably a shielding collar. The contact assembly is provided in the housing and has at least four IDC contacts. Two of the IDC contacts are connected to one of the tow plug-in connectors and the other two of the IDC contacts are connected to the other of the two plug-in contacts. The connection side is on a different side of the housing for the connection of two cable ends of SPE cables to the IDC contacts of the contact assembly. Two first conductors of the first and the second SPE cables are respectively conductively connectable, via the contact assembly, to one another and to the first of the two plug-in contacts, and two second conductors of the first and second SPE cables are respectively conductively connectable, via the contact assembly, to one another and to the first of the two plug-in contacts, such that overall a T or Y branch can be realized with regard to the two cables.
TERMINAL HAVING AN INSULATION DISPLACEMENT CONTACT
A terminal includes a terminal body extending between a mating end and a terminating end. The mating end has a mating interface. The terminating end has an insulation displacement contact. The insulation displacement contact includes a first contact element having a first blade and a second contact element having a second blade. The first blade faces the second blade across a cable slot configured to receive a cable. The terminal includes a contact support extending along the insulation displacement contact. The contact support holds the first contact element relative to the second contact element.

Pressure welding contact having a bellows type terminal and pressure welding connector
The pressure welding contact is provided with an electric wire connecting portion and a contact connecting portion. The electric wire connecting portion comprises a first fixing plate and a pressure welding piece. The pressure welding piece comprises a notched groove into which the core wire of the electric wire can be introduced. The contact connecting portion comprises a second fixing plate and an elastic piece. The second fixing plate contacts the first fixing plate. The elastic piece turns back from the base end portion of the second fixing plate. Further, the elastic piece is disposed in a state inclined upwards, towards the tip portion of the second fixing plate. The elastic piece comprises at its tip portion a contact point portion. The mating side connector can be inserted from between the second fixing plate and the elastic piece.
NOTCHED CONTACT FOR A MODULAR PLUG
A metallic contact for insertion into a modular telecommunications plug includes a generally planar body defining a top end, a bottom end, a front end, a rear end, and a length extending from the front end to the rear end. The bottom end is at least partially defined by a blade for piercing an insulation of a wire positioned within the plug. At least a portion of the top end is configured to electrically contact a conductor of a jack that receives the plug. The top end is defined at least in part by a first engagement surface that is separated from a second engagement surface by a notch. An uppermost portion of the first engagement surface defines a first push surface that is generally at the same height as a second push surface defined by an uppermost portion of the second engagement surface. The notch is defined by a front vertical wall spaced from a rear vertical wall, wherein the front vertical wall is positioned at a distance of at least half the length of the contact from the front end of the contact.
Insulation displacement connector and contacts thereof
An insulation displacement contact comprises an electrically conductive contact body including a mounting portion that is configured to receive a complementary electrical component so as to contact an electrical terminal of the complementary electrical component, and a mating portion configured to attach to an electrical cable, the mating portion including a slot that extends into the contact body, and at least one piercing member that at least partially defines the slot such that, when the slot receives an electrical cable, the piercing member pierces an outer electrically insulative layer of the electrical cable and contacts an electrical conductor of the electrical cable that is disposed inside the electrically insulative layer.
Connector
A connector comprises a housing including an upper casing defining an aperture through which a wire is adapted to extend, and a lower casing defining a chamber receiving the upper casing. The chamber defines an opening that opens toward the upper casing. The upper casing is movable relative to the lower casing upon the exerting of a force on the upper casing such that the aperture and the opening at least partially overlap. A conductive terminal is disposed in the chamber of the lower casing and is adapted to tear an outer insulation of the wire arranged within the chamber to electrically connect to a conductor of the wire as the upper casing is moved toward the lower casing.

Systems and methods for a cable connector
A connector for receiving a ribbon cable, to be assembled via a clamping tool, is provided. The connector includes a housing, a cover, and a protection cap. The housing includes an open top and a bottom. The cover is configured to selectively cover the open top of the housing to enclose the ribbon cable within an interior of the housing. The protection cap is configured to cover the bottom of the housing. The protection cap includes a nonplanar surface with a bump, where the clamping tool contacts the cover and the bump to force the cover toward the housing when the connector is assembled.
