Conductive terminal and connector
A conductive terminal comprises a body and a pair of first elastic cantilevers adapted to clamp a first conductor. The pair of first elastic cantilevers are connected to the body and accommodated within a first accommodation chamber formed in the body. Each first elastic cantilever or the body has a first elastic support structure. A free end of each first elastic cantilever is elastically supported on an inner wall of the first accommodation chamber by the first elastic support structure when the first conductor is clamped between the pair of first elastic cantilevers.

A wire harness assembly including a first connector, a second connector, and conductors extending between the first connector and the second connector. Contacts are provided on the second connector. The contacts have termination sections which are mounted on the second connector, compliant sections which extend from the termination sections, and substrate engagement sections which extend from the compliant sections. The substrate engagement sections have curved contact sections which are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with circuit pads of a mating printed circuit board. Embossments are provided on the curved contact sections to provide additional strength and stability to the curved contact sections.
Push-in electrical terminal with insulation contact
An electrical terminal includes a terminal base. A mate portion is attached to the terminal base. The mate portion is adapted to mate with a corresponding electrical terminal. The electrical terminal includes a conductor contact portion. The conductor contact portion includes a box attached to the terminal base. A lever extends from one wall of the box. The lever is curved to extend toward the terminal base. The lever is adapted to engage a conductor of a wire inserted into the box. The electrical terminal also includes an insulation contact portion. The insulation contact portion is attached to the terminal base. The insulation contact portion is adapted to engage an insulation of the wire.

Insulation displacement connector
An insulation displacement contact includes a monolithic electrically conductive contact body that includes mating portion and a mounting portion. A plurality of the insulation displacement contacts are configured to be delivered to a substrate by a connector housing. The mating portion defines a pair of insulation displacement slots configured to receive an electrical cable so as to place the electrical cable in electrical communication with the substrate through the insulation displacement contact.

INSULATION DISPLACEMENT TERMINATION (IDT) FOR MASS TERMINATION OF MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL WIREGAUGE SIZES AND IN TERMINATION OF MULTIPLE WIRE GAUGE SIZES TO STRIP TERMINAL PRODUCTS
An insulation displacement connector (IDC) includes clamping terminals or contacts which make two redundant contacts into the wires instated into them. The inventive contact comprises a flat strip section, four J-shaped cantilevers each having a straight section and an arcuate section, with a portion of each of said straight section attached to the flat strip section, and the cantilevers arranged into two pairs each having two arcuate sections curving towards each other to form a pincer section. The two pincer pairs face toward each other on the strip. A wire received into both pincer pairs is held securely because any tension applied to the wire forced at least one pincer set to clamp together harder on the wire. The inventive contacts reside in an insulator housing of an insulation displacement terminal (IDT) connector assembly which can accept wires of mixed sizes.
