TECHNIQUES TO DECOMMISSION BATTERY BASED ON USER COMMAND

In one aspect a device includes at least one processor, a battery that powers the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The device also includes circuitry to, responsive to a user command to decommission the battery, discharge the battery to render the battery inoperable.

Quick change battery clamp

A quick change battery clamp includes a first clamp body, a second clamp body, and a handle assembly. The second clamp body is coupled to the first clamp body. The handle assembly is selectively disposed through each of the first clamp body and the second clamp body. Each of the first clamp body and the second clamp body define an aperture having a substantially polygonal cross-section configured to receive a battery post. Each of the first clamp body and the second clamp body have an internal wall with a plurality of ridges configured to selectively abut the battery post. The first clamp body and the second clamp body are hingedly connected.

BATTERY CLAMP DEVICE

A battery clamp having a first inner metal battery clamp member having a handle portion and a clamp portion, a second inner metal battery clamp member having a handle portion and a clamp portion, a first outer insulating battery clamp member having a handle portion and a clamp portion connected to the first inner metal battery clamp, and a second outer insulating battery clamp member having a handle portion and a clamp portion connected to the second inner metal battery clamp. The first inner metal battery clamp member and/or the second inner metal battery clamp member having an inclined connection plate for connection with a battery cable, the inclined connect plate configured to allow a user to access the inclined access plate with a tool while avoiding interference with the handle portions of the battery clamp.

COVER

Method of forming an electrical terminal and an electrical terminal assembly

A method of forming an electrical terminal is presented herein. The method includes the step of stamping an electrical terminal preform from a sheet of metal. The electrical terminal preform having a base plate, a plurality of contact arms radially extending from the base plate, a wire attachment feature radially extending from the base plate, and a carrier strip. The base plate defines crimp wings. The method also includes the step of bending each of the plurality of contact arms to form a socket configured to receive a mating electrical terminal.

BATTERY POLE TERMINAL

A battery pole terminal, having an annular section, which surrounds a cylindrical or conical receiving space at least in sections in a circumferential direction, the annular section having an interruption with respect to the circumferential direction with two opposite edges. A gripping section for a clamping mechanism is provided at each of the edges. Furthermore, the battery pole terminal has a clamping mechanism which acts on the gripping sections and can exert a clamping force on the edges, pushing the opposite edges toward each other. A force limiting mechanism is provided which, when a minimum distance between the edges is reached, prevents an increase in the clamping force on the gripping sections.

INSERT FOR A BATTERY TERMINAL FOR INCREASED RETENTION
20210091487 · 2021-03-25 ·

A connector for terminating to a battery terminal post. The connector includes a post-engaging portion which has an opening for receiving the battery terminal post therein. The post-engaging portion is movable between an open position and a secured position. A retention insert is provided in the opening of the post-engaging portion. The insert has resiliently deformable projections which extend into the opening. With the battery terminal post inserted into the opening and the post-engaging portion moved to the secured position, the resiliently deformable projections of the insert engage and retain the battery terminal post in the opening to prevent unwanted movement of the connector relative to the battery terminal post.
