A battery pole terminal, having an annular section, which surrounds a cylindrical or conical receiving space at least in sections in a circumferential direction, the annular section having an interruption with respect to the circumferential direction with two opposite edges. A gripping section for a clamping mechanism is provided at each of the edges. Furthermore, the battery pole terminal has a clamping mechanism which acts on the gripping sections and can exert a clamping force on the edges, pushing the opposite edges toward each other. A force limiting mechanism is provided which, when a minimum distance between the edges is reached, prevents an increase in the clamping force on the gripping sections.

BATTERY AND BATTERY CLAMP SYSTEMS

A battery clamp system for a battery includes a terminal receiving portion configured to be coupled to a terminal of the battery. The battery clamp system includes an anti-rotation projection coupled to the terminal receiving portion. The anti-rotation projection is configured to be coupled to the battery. The anti-rotation projection extends along an axis that is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the battery clamp system. The battery clamp system includes a first flange coupled to the terminal receiving portion that extends along a first flange axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The battery clamp system includes a second flange coupled to the terminal receiving portion so as to be spaced apart from the first flange. The first flange is configured to cooperate with the second flange to couple the terminal receiving portion to the battery.

A current sensor includes a pair of bus bars, a shunt resistor conductively connected between the pair of bus bars, and a housing in which the shunt resistor is built. The shunt resistor includes a body part interposed between the pair of bus bars and detection terminal parts for current detection. Each of the detection terminal parts includes a body connection portion that is connected to the body part, a tip end connection portion that is exposed from the housing and extends along a first direction, and an intermediate portion that is interposed between the body connection portion and the tip end connection portion and extends by protruding from the tip end connection portion along a second direction.

A conductor plate assembly for providing an electrical connection between a plurality of battery cells of a battery package for an electric vehicle is described. The conductor plate assembly includes a plurality of first conductor plates, at least one second conductor plate, a plurality of fusible links at the at least one second conductor plate configured to connect the at least one second conductor plate to multiple battery cells, and a plurality of non-fusible links at the plurality of first conductor plates configured to connect the plurality of first conductor plates to plural battery cells.
