The metal shield shell is provided to the insulating housing, and the metal shield shell has a ground tongue, the ground tongue has a contact section, the contact section has a top surface and a bulge formed on an opposite side of the top surface, a distance between the top surface of the contact section of the ground tongue and a bottom surface of the bulge is larger than the insertion gap, the ground tongue inserts into the insertion gap and the contact section of the ground tongue is clamped between the insulating housing and the ground pad to make the bottom surface of the bulge contact the ground pad.

An electrical connector for mating with the CPU unit, includes an insulative housing with a plurality of passageways extending therethrough in the vertical direction. A plurality of contacts are disposed within the corresponding passageways, respectively. Each contact includes opposite first retaining section and second retaining section with an upward resilient contacting section linked therebetween, and a soldering section extending downwardly from the first retaining section. The contacting section includes opposite first contacting part unitarily extending from the first retaining section, and second contacting part unitarily extending from the second retaining section. The CPU unit forms a plurality of metal-coated recesses in an underside to receive the contacting section of the corresponding contacts, respectively. The first retaining section is essentially immovable in the passageway while the second retaining section is essentially movable relative to the housing in response to mating with the CPU.

Interface for a printed circuit board assembly adapter module

Systems for interfacing a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) adapter module to a receiver housing are provided. The receiver housing may have a first interface mounted on the receiver housing via a first mount and the PCBA adapter module may have a second interface mounted on the adapter module via a second mount. One of the interfaces has a protruding feature that aligns the interfaces when matingly engaged, while the other interface has a centering hole opposite the protruding feature. The first centering hole is enlarged with respect to an axis of an insertion-angle plane such that the protruding feature substantially clears the centering hole without causing either interface to exceed a limit of free-play between that interface and its respective mount.

Connectors with a hybrid pitch are described. In one example, a connector to couple a card or module to a motherboard includes connector housing and a plurality of pins. The plurality of pins include alternating signal and ground pins. Each of the plurality of pins includes a card or module-facing end to couple with the card or module and a lead to couple with a through hole in the motherboard. A first pitch between leads of a pin and a first adjacent pin is different than a second pitch between leads of the pin and a second adjacent pin.

The second printed circuit board includes a first surface and a second surface. The plurality of ball grid arrays are disposed on the second surface of the second printed circuit board. The at least one bonding pad is arranged beside the first surface of the second printed circuit board. The magnetic core assembly is arranged between the first circuit board assembly and the second circuit board assembly and electrically connected with the at least one bonding pad. The at least one output capacitor is embedded within the second circuit board assembly.

Plug-in Device

Aspects described herein may allow for a plug-in device including a base having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. A first PCB has a first surface defining a first plane, and a plurality of pins connected to and extending outwardly from the first surface, with each pin being received in one of the apertures of the base. A bracket secures the first PCB to the base. A second PCB is secured to the bracket, extending outwardly from the first PCB and defining a second plane, with the second plane being at an acute angle with respect to the first plane. An antenna housing is secured to the bracket and the second PCB and includes at least a first antenna. A cover is releasably secured to the base.
