The QSFP-DD module has an internal printed circuit board defining a mating port at a front edge region, and a connecting port at a rear edge region, and plural sets of wires mechanically and electrically connected to the connecting port with a plurality of ground staples discrete from one another to secure the respective sets of wires to the printed circuit board. The pitch among the ground staples is essentially 3.38 mm, and the wires are connected to two opposite surfaces of the printed circuit board with the associated ground staples. The staples are arranged in rows along the transverse direction.

An electrical device includes a molded interconnect substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface, the substrate having a mold component and a laser direct structuring component. A conductive circuit is formed along the top surface having one or more signal contacts and one or more ground contacts. The electrical device includes a communication cable having a differential pair of signal conductors and a grounding element. The communication cable has a cable jacket surrounding the signal conductors and the grounding element. Each signal conductor has a wire-terminating end that is coupled to a corresponding signal contact, the wire-terminating end projecting beyond a jacket edge of the cable jacket.

An electrical device includes a substrate having a plurality of signal contacts and a ground contact along a surface of the substrate. A communication cable includes a differential pair of signal conductors, a grounding element that surrounds the signal conductors, and a cable jacket surrounding the signal conductors and the grounding element. Each of the signal conductors has a wire-terminating end that is terminated to a corresponding signal contact of the substrate, the wire-terminating end projecting beyond a jacket edge of the cable jacket. A ground termination component has a main panel electrically coupled with the ground contact, and a strain relief element engaged with at least a portion of the communication cable. The strain relief element includes a connective terminal electrically coupled to the grounding element.

Methods and apparatus for rendering electrical cables safe
A safe grounding apparatus (SGA) for safely grounding or neutralizing the electrical conductors for permanent magnet motor (PMM) powered artificial lift systems and methods of practicing the same are disclosed. The SGA of the present invention ameliorates some of the dangers associated with PMM's. Methods of shorting, grounding, testing and monitoring the electrical conductors of a permanent magnet motor in order to safely manipulate the conductors are also disclosed.

A cable connector assembly includes: a mating portion; a flat cable electrically connecting with the mating portion, the flat cable having plural wires and an outer boot enclosed the wires, the wires including a first wire and a second wire; an inner mold enclosing a part of the mating portion and a part of the flat cable; and a shielding shell enclosed the inner mold, wherein the first wire is a core wire directly enclosed by the outer boot and the second wire comprises a core wire and an insulative layer enclosing the associated core wire.
