Power bar package mount arrangement
Apparatuses and systems associated with power provision for packages mounted to a printed circuit board are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a socket arrangement may include a header and a first bus bar, wherein the first bus bar is to extend from the header adjacent to the PCB, and is to electrically couple to a power supply contact of a component package and to a power supply connection within a proximity of a power source, wherein a power output of the power source is electrically coupled to the power supply connection. The socket arrangement may further include a second bus bar, wherein the second bus bar is to extend from the header adjacent to the PCB, and is to electrically couple to a ground contact of the component package and a ground connection within the proximity of the power source. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Connector assembly with retainer for CPU
An electrical connector assembly includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained to the housing, a metallic frame/fastener surrounding the housing, a retainer/clip positioned upon the housing and retaining a CPU thereon. The metallic frame includes four positioning posts at four corners, and the retainer includes a frame part to form a receiving space for receiving the CPU therein, and further includes four metallic retaining supports embedded within four corners of the retainer corresponding to the four positioning posts so as to allow the four positioning posts to extending therethrough in the vertical direction.
Electrical connector and locking member
An electrical connector includes a plug connector and a locking member. The plug connector has a fitting portion, and an outer diameter of the fitting portion is configured to be able to be expanded. The locking member includes a pair of arm portions configured to restrict expansion of a diameter of the fitting portion by sandwiching the fitting portion from outward in a radial direction when the fitting portion fitted to a ground contact member is removed, and a positioning portion configured to curb movement of the plug connector in a Y direction in a restricted state in which the pair of arm portions restrict the expansion of the diameter of the fitting portion. In the restricted state, the positioning portion faces a first fixing portion located rearward from the fitting portion in the Y direction, and curbs movement of the first fixing portion in the Y direction.
Interface for a printed circuit board assembly adapter module
Systems for interfacing a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) adapter module to a receiver housing are provided. The receiver housing may have a first interface mounted on the receiver housing via a first mount and the PCBA adapter module may have a second interface mounted on the adapter module via a second mount. One of the interfaces has a protruding feature that aligns the interfaces when matingly engaged, while the other interface has a centering hole opposite the protruding feature. The first centering hole is enlarged with respect to an axis of an insertion-angle plane such that the protruding feature substantially clears the centering hole without causing either interface to exceed a limit of free-play between that interface and its respective mount.
Sealed flexible printed circuit connector
Connectors for connecting traces on one or more flexible circuit boards to traces on a printed circuit board. These connectors can include gaskets, potting material, and other structures or materials to seal electrical connections in the connector from moisture ingress to prevent damage. The connectors can be locked to secure the one or more flexible circuit board in place in the connector. The connectors can be unlocked and then opened to remove the flexible circuit boards to remove components or to rework the electronic device.
FFC CONNECTOR WITH ANTI-OVERSTRESS FEATURES
An electrical connector includes a housing, a plurality of contacts arranged in the housing, an actuator mounted to the housing and configured to move relative to the housing, and a locking terminal mounted to the housing, the locking terminal comprising a locking arm extending through an interior portion of the actuator and into a cavity within the housing, the cavity having an upper surface and a lower surface. Movement of the actuator relative to the housing may cause the interior portion of the actuator to push against at least part of the locking arm and rotate the at least part of the locking arm. When the actuator is in a first position, the locking arm may contact a surface of the cavity within the housing, which may inhibit the actuator from rotating in a first direction.
ELECTRICAL INTERFACE FASTENERS
A mechanical fastener for an electrical interface may include a first handle and a second handle The first handle and second handle are located on opposite sides of the mechanical fastener. The mechanical fastener may also include a first housing, a second housing coupled to the first housing, an electrical interface housed in the mechanical fastener between the first and second housings, a first lever intermediary between the first handle and the first housing and mechanically coupled to the second handle, a second lever intermediary between the second handle and the second housing and mechanically coupled to the first handle, a first post coupled to the first handle and the second lever, and a second post coupled to the second handle and the first lever.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR FLAT CONDUCTORS
A movable member is provided at a flat conductor insertion location on one side in the connector thickness direction; at least either restricting portions or restricted protrusions have oblique surfaces rearwardly sloped toward the other side in the connector thickness direction; upon complete insertion of the flat conductor, engaging portions are positioned to be engageable with engaged portions in the direction of disengagement of the flat conductor at locations rearward of said engaged portions of the flat conductor; and, when a rearward disengagement force acts on the flat conductor upon complete insertion of said flat conductor, the engaged portions of the flat conductor engage the engaging portions and the restricted protrusions abut the restricting portions, as a result of which at least a reaction force directed toward the other side in the connector thickness direction is received from the restricting portions.
FASTENING DEVICE FOR EXPANSION CARDS
A fastening device for expansion cards that is capable of connecting to a slot on a normal motherboard and fastening an expansion card in the slot is disclosed. The fastening device includes a top pressing unit and two side fastening units, wherein the two side fastening units are connected to two ends of the top pressing unit, respectively, and each side fastening unit is provided with an opening. When two clip units disposed on the two ends of the slot pass through the openings of the two side fixing units respectively, the top pressing unit presses the top edge of the expansion card inserted into the slot and the two side fastening units respectively press and fasten the two clip units so as to restrain the clip units from unlocking and to prevent the expansion card from becoming loose in the slot.
