Large current transmission connector

The application discloses a large current transmission connector including the pallet assembly and the socket assembly. The pallet assembly includes the pallet and the guide pillar. The socket assembly includes a socket. The socket includes mounting holes and pins. The locking structure is arranged in the mounting hole. The locking structure is used for fixing the guide pillar on the socket and for conveying a current between the pallet assembly and the socket assembly. When the guide pillar and the locking structure are fixed together, the two guide pillars not only play the role of guiding, but also can carry the large current of 50 A. Thus, this connector does not need to set aside a lot of space for mounting the power supply pins. The space of the connector is saved effectively. The miniaturization trend of the connector is met.

Such a connector may be miniaturized, yet provide for robust operation and resist unintentional demating as a result of twisting forces on a plug inserted into the connector.

The rear board opens a guiding hole extending forward to the receiving space.

An opening is provided in the front wall for receiving a plug inside the terminal housing, opposing side walls, and a top wall and an opposing bottom wall. The bottom wall has an inner surface facing the inside of the terminal housing and an outer surface facing away from the inside of the terminal housing. The outer surface (can have at least two retention pins projecting from the outer surface for being inserted into corresponding holes in the PCB. A first retention pin can be positioned on the outer surface so as to be arranged asymmetrically with respect to a second retention pin.

An abutting member is disposed on one side of the sidewall. A limiting block is disposed at one end of each of the sidewalls away from an end surface of the cover accommodating notch. The plurality of signal terminals are respectively disposed in the corresponding signal terminal slots. The cover is disposed in the cover accommodating notch and covers the plurality of the signal terminals.
