CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
To provide a connector for which cost can be reduced. A first connector 1 includes first metal members 10A that function as terminals and second metal members 10B that function as reinforcing brackets. Each first metal member 10A and second metal member 10B include a main body part 11, a first edge part 15, a second edge part 16, and a third edge part 17. A first edge part 15 of the first metal member 10A is positioned on the upper side of the main body part 11 that is the side that receives the mating connector. The second metal member 10B is retained in a different orientation from the first metal member 10A. The first edge part 15 of the second metal member 10B is positioned below the main body part 11 of the second metal member 10B and can be attached to a first circuit board B1 arranged on the lower side of the first connector 1. The third edge part 17 of the second metal member 10B is positioned more in the Y1 direction than the main body part 11 of the second metal member 10B and can be attached to the second circuit board B2 arranged in the Y1 direction with respect to the first connector 1.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING LOOPBACK TEST ON PCIe INTERFACE
An apparatus is provided for testing a PCIe interface on a printed circuit assembly. The apparatus can include a plurality of electrical contacts to couple to a PCIe interface of the printed circuit assembly, wherein a respective electrical contact corresponds to a pin of the PCIe interface. The apparatus can also include a plurality of resistors. Each resistor is coupled between two adjacent electrical contacts. At least one electrical contact corresponds to a ground, power, or not connected (NC) pin of the PCIe interface, thereby allowing a loopback test to determine connectivity between the pins of the PCIe interface and the printed circuit assembly.
BOARD-TO-BOARD CONNECTOR
A connector includes a flat-plate housing made of insulating resin and including a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole, a plurality of contacts held on the housing, and a first hold-down and a second hold-down made of metal and disposed to correspond to a first positioning hole and a second positioning hole, respectively. The housing includes a CPU board opposed surface to be opposed to a CPU board. The first hold-down includes a reinforcing plate part to cover the CPU board opposed surface around the corresponding first positioning hole. The second hold-down includes a reinforcing plate part to cover the CPU board opposed surface around the corresponding second positioning hole.
Board-to-board connector with alignment features
An electrical connector assembly includes a male/plug/first connector and a female/receptacle/second connector mateable with each other. The first connector includes a first plate and a plurality of first contacts retained to the first plate, and the second connector includes a second plate and a plurality of second contacts retained to the second plate. The first plate includes opposite first long side and second long side to respectively form a first alignment structure and a second alignment structure which is offset from the first alignment structure in the longitudinal direction. The second plate includes opposite third long and fourth long side to respectively form a third alignment structure and a fourth alignment structure to be coupled to the corresponding first alignment structure and second alignment structure during mating.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of power contact pairs, the insulating housing has a mounting section for installing on a printed circuit board, a mating section and a plurality of contact-receiving passageways extending along a front-and-back direction. The power contact pairs are retained in corresponding contact-receiving passageways and divided into two rows along a height direction, each power contact pair in each row has two flaky power contacts, each power contact has a retaining portion held in the relative contact-receiving passageway, at least one contacting portion extending forwards from the retaining portion and at least one soldering portion bending from a rear end of the retaining portion. One row of power contact pairs is assembled into the insulative housing along a back-to-front direction, and the other row of power contact pairs is assembled into the insulative housing in an up-and-down direction.
Socket
A socket having a housing, a plurality of contacts, a plurality of insulating members and a plurality of conductive resin members is described. The housing is in a box shape with an opening and is provided with a matrix of penetration holes at a bottom portion. The plurality of contacts include contacts for ground and respective pairs of contacts for high-speed differential transmission. The plurality of insulating members support the plurality of contacts and are pressed into the housing so that the contacts are exposed on an opposite side of the opening from the penetration holes of the housing. The plurality of conductive resin members are fitted at positions of the plurality of insulating members in contact with the contacts for ground.
CONNECTOR SET AND CAP
A connector set is provided that includes a first connector, a first cap to be attached to the first connector when the first connector is reflow-mounted on a first external substrate, a second connector, and a second cap to be attached to the second connector when the second connector is reflow-mounted on a second external substrate formed of a material with a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than that of the first external substrate. The second cap is formed of a material with a smaller thermal expansion coefficient than that of the first cap.
Connector Set and Connector
A connector set is disclosed that includes a plurality of connectors and a cap to be attached to the plurality of connectors when the plurality of connectors are reflow-mounted on an external substrate. Each one end portion of the connectors and the cap is provided with a fitted portion and a fitting portion to be fitted in the fitted portion. The fitted portion is provided with an opening portion for moving the fitting portion so as to absorb thermal expansion from one end portion side to the other end portion side due to temperature conversion of reflow.
CONNECTOR
Provided is a connector which includes: an insulating housing; and a conductive terminal, in which the terminal is fixed to the housing, and includes a mounting portion connected to a board and a contact portion protruding from the mounting portion in a fitting direction, and a thickness of the contact portion is greater than a thickness of the mounting portion in a direction perpendicular to the board.
