Auxiliary power connector PCBs are described. In one example, an auxiliary power connector is described. The auxiliary power connector includes a printed circuit board (PCB) and a PCI express graphics (PEG) connector mounted to the PCB, the PEG connector configured to connect to an auxiliary power source. The auxiliary power connector further includes a set of connectors provided on the PCB, the set of connectors configured to connect the PCB to a main PCB of a device.

BOARD-TO-BOARD CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

A board-to-board connector assembly includes a receptacle connector and a plug connector mated with each other. The receptacle connector includes a first body, first terminals and a pair of first metal members. The first body includes an island structure and a first receiving slot surrounding the island structure. The first terminals are respectively disposed on a first side and a second side of the first receiving slot, the first and second sides being opposite to each other. The first metal members are respectively disposed on a third side and a fourth side of the first receiving slot, the third and fourth sides being opposite to each other. The first metal member includes a base extending to a bottom on the third side or a bottom on the fourth side, and a pair of first elastic arms extending from the base and facing away from each other.

An electrical connector includes: plural terminal modules stacked laterally, each of the terminal modules including an insulating body, plural pairs of signal terminals held by the insulating body, plural ground terminals held by the insulating body, and a first ground plate and a second ground plate located on opposite sides of the insulating body, wherein: in each terminal module, the ground terminals and the pairs of signal terminals are alternately arranged in a vertical direction, each pair of signal terminals are arranged in a first plane, each ground terminal is arranged in a second plane intersecting the first plane, the first ground plate, the second ground plate, and the ground terminals shield each pair of signal terminals circumferentially.

A strap connector includes an insulating body, a number of conductive terminals, a movable component, an elastic member and a pull strap. The insulating body includes a main body portion having a first end wall and a second end wall. The movable component includes a first locking protrusion protruding beyond the first end wall. The pull strap is connected with the movable component. The pull strap is configured to drive the movable component to move in a moving direction. The strap connector includes a second locking protrusion protruding beyond the second end wall. The first locking protrusion and the second locking protrusion are adapted to lock with locking holes of a mating connector, thereby improving the mating retention force when mating with the mating connector. The present disclosure also discloses a strap connector assembly having the strap connector.

A method of manufacturing an electrical connector coupled to a counterpart connector is disclosed. The method includes: (a) disposing a plurality of signal terminals; (b) forming a first mold part to support the signal terminals through primary insert molding, the first mold part being formed to have a protrusion at one end thereof in a longitudinal direction of the electrical connector and a first groove at the other end thereof in the longitudinal direction of the electrical connector; (c) placing a fitting beside the first mold part; and (d) forming a second mold part to support the first mold part and the fitting through secondary insert molding, the second mold part being formed to surround the protrusion of the first mold part while filling the first groove.

The top covering plate is plugged into the insertion hole, and can be slid to a first position to form thermal convection ventilation holes on the shielding housing structure, or the top covering plate can be slid to a second position to form an enclosing status of the shielding housing.

An electrical connector set includes first and second connectors, in which the first connector has a first connection terminal, a first high-frequency connection terminal transmitting a high frequency signal, and a first external grounding member surrounding the first high-frequency connection terminal, the second connector has a second connection terminal, a second high-frequency connection terminal, and a second external grounding member surrounding the second high-frequency connection terminal. At a time of fitting, the second external grounding member is located on an inner side of the first external grounding member, the first and second connection terminals are located on an outer side of the first external grounding member, the second external grounding member is closed in a peripheral shape to surround the first and second high-frequency connection terminals, and first and second mounting parts are located on an inner side of the second external grounding member.
