A contact assembly includes a leadframe having signal contacts and ground contacts including intermediate portions extends between mating ends and terminating ends. The contact assembly includes a contact holder holding the intermediate portions. The contact assembly includes cables terminated to the leadframe having signal conductors held by insulators and ground shields surrounding the signal conductors to provide electrical shielding and drain wires electrically connected to the ground shields. The signal conductors are terminated to terminating ends of corresponding signal contacts. The drain wires are terminated to terminating ends of ground contacts to electrically common the ground shields and the ground contacts of the leadframe. The contact assembly includes a ground bus separate and discrete from the leadframe terminated to each of the ground contacts to electrically common the ground contacts.

Systems, methods, and devices for networking cable assemblies

A connector for a networking cable assembly includes a substrate, a first set of contacts on a first surface of the substrate that electrically connect to leads of a first cable, and a second set of contacts on the first surface of the substrate that electrically connect to leads of a second cable. The first set of contacts are spaced apart from the second set of contacts in a first direction by an amount that enables the second cable to be stacked on the first cable and passed over the first set of contacts to electrically connect to the leads of the second cable.

A power supply includes a cover body, a metal plate, a metal clip, a circuit board and a housing. The metal plate is partially disposed in a first space of the cover body. The metal clip is disposed in the first space and electrically connected to the metal plate, and includes an upper spring piece, a lower spring piece and a connecting piece. The connecting piece has a fixing portion corresponding to a gap between the upper and lower spring pieces. The circuit board includes an input portion and an output portion. The input portion is disposed in the gap, and has a protruding part for engaging with the fixing portion. The housing includes an output interface and an opening communicating with an accommodating space of the housing. The cover body is connected to the opening. The output interface is electrically connected to the output portion.

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a first terminal module, and a second terminal module. The first terminal module includes a first insulating block and a first conductive terminal. The first conductive terminal includes a first mating portion. The second terminal module includes a second insulating block and a second conductive terminal. The second conductive terminal includes a second mating portion. The first conductive terminal includes a supporting portion exposed from the first insulating block. The electrical connector further includes a supporting block located behind the supporting portion along a mating direction and abutting against the supporting portion. The present disclosure improves the structural reliability of the electrical connector and facilitates miniaturization of the electrical connector.

A high-speed connector includes an insulating housing, and a first terminal assembly mounted in the insulating housing. The first terminal assembly includes a plurality of first terminals including a plurality of first grounding terminals, a first base body, and a first shielding plate disposed under the first base body. The plurality of the first terminals are fastened to the first base body. The first shielding plate has a first base plate, a first metal layer and a plurality of first ribs. Several portions of a top surface of the first base plate extend upward to form the plurality of the first ribs. The first metal layer is a pattern with a plurality of pores. Several of the first grounding terminals contact with the first metal layer which is attached to top surfaces of the plurality of the first ribs to form a grounding structure.

A board-edge plug connector establishes an electrical connection between at least one electrical conductor and at least one printed circuit board. The board-edge plug connector has a housing which accommodates at least one contact element and has at least one cavity which receives both the conductor and also the printed circuit board at least partially in the housing. The contact element both encloses and makes contact with the printed circuit board in a spring-elastic manner and also clamps the conductor against the housing and makes contact with it in a spring-elastic manner.

An electrical connector for high speed signals. The connector has multiple conductive elements that may serve as signal or ground conductors. A member formed with lossy material and conductive compliant members may be inserted in the connector. The conductive compliant members may be aligned with conductive elements of the connector configured as ground conductors. For a connector configured to carry differential signals, the ground conductors may separate pairs of signal conductors. The member may further include a conductive web, embedded within the lossy material, that interconnects the conductive compliant members. For a receptacle connector, the conductive elements may have mating contact portions aligned along opposing surfaces of a cavity. The conductive elements may have contact tails for attachment to a printed circuit board and intermediate portions connecting the mating contact portions and the contact tails. The conductive compliant members may press against the intermediate portions.

The receptacle coupler includes a coupler housing having a contact chamber receiving the coupler contact assembly and front and rear receptacles configured to receive the module circuit boards. The coupler housing holds the coupler contact assembly with the front mating beams in the front receptacle for mating with the front module circuit board and the rear mating beams in the rear receptacle for mating with the rear module circuit board.
