The adaptor assembly has an adaptor board allowing the attachment of the OCP 2.0 form factor. The adaptor board includes a socket mateable with a connector on the OCP 2.0 form factor and an edge connector mateable with a socket on the server. The assembly includes an adaptor bracket attachable to the adaptor board. The adaptor bracket has a wall that covers the side slot of the server when the adaptor assembly is inserted through the side slot.

MAGNETIC PLUG

Examples are disclosed that relate to connector systems, magnetic plug assemblies and methods for mating a magnetic plug assembly with a plurality of receptacles. In one example, a magnetic plug assembly comprises a moveable member comprising an aperture and one or more magnets. A plug tip extends through the aperture, and one or more biasing elements urge the moveable member and the one or more magnets toward a distal end of the plug tip, with the moveable member being moveable relative to the plug tip.

BACKPLANE CONNECTOR WITH IMPROVED MOUNTING BLOCK

A backplane connector includes a housing, a number of terminal modules assembled to the housing, and a mounting block. The housing includes a base, a first side wall and a second side wall. Each terminal module includes a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal. The first signal terminal has a first mounting foot, and the second signal terminal has a second mounting foot. The housing includes a receiving groove at a bottom end of the base. The mounting block is received in the receiving groove. The mounting block is made of electroplated plastic. The mounting block has an opening for the first mounting foot and the second mounting foot to extend through. As a result, the backplane connector has a better shielding effect.

An electrical connector includes multiple terminals fixed to an insulating body. Each terminal has a contact portion electrically connected with a mating connector, and a conducting portion located behind the contact portion. The conducting portion extends out of the insulating body and is electrically connected with a circuit board. A grounding shell wraps outside the insulating body. A shielding shell rotates relative to the insulating body between a closed position and an open position. A first end of the shielding shell is electrically connected with the grounding shell. When the shielding shell is at the closed position, a second end of the shielding shell is electrically connected with at least one grounding medium electrically connected with the circuit board. When the shielding shell is at the open position, an observation window is formed between the shielding shell and the grounding medium to expose the conducting portions of the terminals.

The present invention may comprise: a body including a first plate facing a first direction, a second plate facing a second direction opposite to the first direction, and at least one printed circuit board; and at least one receptacle disposed at the body to be connected to an external connector, wherein the receptacle comprises: a receptacle body which is connected onto the printed circuit board; a receptacle shell to which the external connector is connected and which is slidable in the receptacle body in a third direction vertically facing each of the first and second directions; a guide device which guides the sliding movement of the receptacle shell; a molded member which is coupled to the receptacle shell and configures a connection position of the external connector; and a connection structure which electrically connects the receptacle shell and the receptacle body.

Dual-Level Pad Card Edge Self-Guide and Alignment of Connector

A card, e.g. a printed circuit board (PCB), has one or more conductive layers and one or more non-conductive layers disposed and alternating upon one another to form a stack. One or more of the conductive layers has one or more wiring elements within the conductive layer. The PCB/card has one or more card edges. The PCB also has a plurality of dual-level pad structures on each of one or more of the card edges. The dual-level pad structures each have an upper level, a lower level, and two or more walls. The lower level is a conductive pad with conductive surface. At least one of the conductive pads electrically connects to one or more of the wiring elements and/or one or more vias. In each of the dual-level pad structures, the walls and upper level may be made of an electrically non-conductive, insulating, or dielectric material or may be covered with a conductive material that electrically connects to conductive surface. There are different non-limiting embodiments of the structures and methods of making the structures.
