Connector and connector assembly including the same

A connector includes a housing into which a cable is to be inserted, a terminal accommodated in the housing and configured to be conductively connected to the cable, and a lever attached to the housing so as to turn between the first and second positions. The lever includes attachment parts to be attached to supporting parts of the housing, at both ends in the direction in which the turning shafts of the lever extend. Either the attachment parts or the supporting parts, or both of them include a defective-closing prevention structure which prevents the lever from turning from the first position to the second position when the cable is not inserted in the housing.

An electrical connector comprises a housing, a plurality of contacts arranged in the housing, an actuator mounted on the housing, capable of rotating with reference to the housing and a pair of fixing tabs positioned in the vicinity of two ends of the actuator. Each fixing tab has a lock portion for engaging with a flexible printed circuited connected to the electrical connector and a spring portion connected to the lock portion. The fixing tab is engaged with the actuator so that rotation of the actuator from an original position to a release position causes the lock portion of the fixing tab to disengage with the flexible printed circuit connected to the electrical connector and the actuator resumes from the release position to the original position under a resilient force exerted thereon by the spring portion of the fixing tab.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained in the insulative housing and a fastener. The insulative housing has a rear surface. Each contact has a connecting leg extending beyond the rear surface. The connecting legs are arranged in at least a row, and each connecting leg has a connecting portion and a resisting portion. The fastener has at least a contact receiving chamber, a flexible circuit board receiving chamber communicating with the contact receiving chamber and a press section. The contact receiving chamber is arranged between from the flexible circuit board receiving chamber and the press section. Wherein the fastener has a fixed position on the insulative housing, and as moving the fastener to the fixed position, the press section presses the resisting portion to drive the connecting portion projecting into the flexible circuit board receiving chamber.
