Connector housing having terminal retention recess with stop surface

An electrical connector having a housing with at least one contact receiving passageway extending from an insertion face to a mating face. The contact receiving passageway has a wall extending about the perimeter of the contact receiving passageway. A contact is insertable into the contact receiving passageway from the insertion face toward the mating face. The contact has a mounting portion positioned in the contact receiving passageway. The contact has a lance which extends outward from the mounting portion. A recess extends from the contact receiving passageway into the wall of the contact receiving passageway. The recess has a stop surface and a lead-in surface. The lance cooperates with the stop surface of the recess to properly position and retain the contact in the at least one contact receiving passageway.

Miniaturized connector

Disclosed is a connector including an insulating body assembly and a plurality of terminal assemblies arranged side by side. Each of the plurality of terminal assemblies includes a connecting terminal and a contact terminal. The connecting terminal is disposed in the insulating body assembly, and a front end of the contact terminal is exposed to the insulating body assembly. A portion adjacent to the tail end of the contact terminal is provided with an accommodating hole a front end of the connecting terminal is inserted into the accommodating hole, and the front end of the connecting terminal is in elastic contact with an inner wall of the accommodating hole and is configured to move in the accommodating hole.

In an example embodiment, a connector includes a male base and a female base. The male base is inserted with a male end pin and a first connection member. The female base is detachably connected to the male base. The female base is inserted with a female end pin and a second connection member. Methods of delivering electric power to equipment of a communications access network are provided herein. In particular, a method of delivering electric power to the equipment includes generating an AC power signal having a frequency between 10 kHz and 500 kHz that is transmitted via a coaxial cable that is coupled between the equipment and a power monitor. The method includes identifying, using the power monitor, a reflection of the AC power signal via the coaxial cable to the power monitor. Moreover, the method includes adjusting a voltage of the AC power signal in response to identifying the reflection. Related systems and coaxial cables are also provided.
