Electrical term finals and electrical connector assemblies for electrically conductive structures are described. An example electrical terminal has a terminal head and an electrical contact. The electrical contact extends from the terminal head and has a lengthwise axis and a spring finger contact. The spring finger contact is movable relative to the terminal head and has a cantilever portion and a contact portion. The cantilever portion extends away from the terminal head and away from the lengthwise axis of the electrical contact. The contact portion extends from the cantilever portion.

Cable assembly with improved high frequency signal integrity and increase quality with high frequency signal transmission

A cable assembly includes a plurality of wires and a plurality of electrical contacts. The electrical contacts include contact sections and wire connecting sections, and the wire connecting sections of the electrical contacts are respectively connected to the wires. Two adjacent electrical contacts for transmitting signals have a first edge distance and an expanded edge distance. The first edge distance is adjacent to the contact sections, and the expanded edge distance is between the first edge distance and the wire connecting sections. In addition, the first edge distance is smaller than the expanded edge distance to improve signal integrity.

An electrical connector assembly can include a plug connector mountable to a planar substrate and a receptacle connector configured to receive a plurality of cables and that can mate with the plug connector. The plug connector may include a first inline terminal row and a second inline terminal row exposed on a mounting face to conductively contact the planar substrate. The receptacle connector can include a plurality of terminals having termination ends aligned in common wafer plane that can be conductively terminated with the plurality of cables. The plug connector and the electrical connector are configured to establish electrical channels from the termination ends coplanar with the common wafer plan to the first and second inline terminal rows.

An electrical connector includes an insulating body having a mating slot and multiple accommodating slots are in communication with the mating slot. Multiple terminals are accommodated in the accommodating slots. The terminals include ground terminals. Each terminal includes a connecting portion, an elastic arm, a tail portion, and an extending portion located between the connecting portion and the tail portion. The extending portion of each terminal extends obliquely downward and backward from the connecting portion. A grounding member is provided on the insulating body. The grounding member has a multiple upper and lower extending arms. A length of each upper extending arm is shorter than a length of each lower extending arm in the front-rear direction. The upper and lower extending arms respectively abut the ground terminals, thus shortening the transmission paths of the terminals. The grounding member and the ground terminals are in stable connection, thus reducing the resonance.

Method of assembling contacts into housing via respective contact carriers discrete from one another

A method of making an electrical connector includes steps of providing an insulative housing with a plurality of passageways; providing a plurality of contacts associated with corresponding carriers unitarily formed thereon, respectively; providing an external fixture discrete from the carriers; retaining the carriers on the external fixture; downwardly moving the external fixture to insert the contacts into the corresponding passageways to reach their final positions in the vertical direction, simultaneously; and removing the carriers from the corresponding contacts, respectively.

A high voltage side hold-down includes a flat-plate shaped reinforcing plate part, a solder leg projecting downward from the reinforcing plate part, and a hold-down elastic piece supported like a cantilever beam by the reinforcing plate part. The hold-down elastic piece includes an elastic piece body, a contact part projecting upward beyond a CPU board opposed surface, and a displacement restriction part for restricting upward displacement of the contact part, sequentially from the base to the end of the hold-down elastic piece. A housing is formed in such a way that the contact part does not come into contact with the housing when the contact part is displaced downward and no longer projects upward beyond the CPU board opposed surface.

The invention relates to an electric unit for connecting to a DIN rail (50), having means for contacting the lines (70) of a busbar (60), said means comprising a rotatable contacting element (30, 40, 50), the outer circumference of which is equipped with contacts (32, 42, 52, 53, 62, 63). A first group of contacts (32, 52, 62) and a second group of contacts (42, 53, 63) are provided, wherein the contacts of the first group are arranged so that, when the contacting element (30, 40, 50) is rotated they contact contact lines (70) extending in a first place (A1), and the contacts of the second group are arranged so as to contact lines extending in a second plane (B1).

ELASTIC ARM STRUCTURE AND CONNECTOR TERMINAL

An elastic arm structure is arranged on one end of the terminal body, and includes a support part and a contact part. The support part is a bending structure formed by sequentially connecting multiple extension sections, a first end of the support part is an operation end and a second end of the support part is a connection end, from the connection end to the operation end, an included angle between each of extension directions of the multiple extension sections and a first direction is gradually reduced, and the first direction is parallel to a length direction of the terminal body. The contact part is arranged at the operation end and is bent towards an inner side of the bending structure.
