Detachable elements comprising a body having a retention feature, an electrical contactor, and sensors are also disclosed. Further disclosed are detachable elements comprising a body having a hole and a retention pocket, an electrical contactor, and a printed circuit board assembly (PCB) in contact with the innermost surface of the body that forms the retention pocket. Further disclosed are detachable elements comprising a body having an opening and a printed film comprising conductive elements, where the conductive elements comprise a sensor configured to be aligned with the opening to expose the sensor. Further disclosed are reusable components having matching retention features.
CONTACT AND CONNECTOR
The present invention makes it possible to provide a connector comprising a contact that forms an electric connection with a counterpart contact, having a first contact piece and a second contact piece branched by a bifurcated branching part, as well as a first contact point element provided to the first contact piece and a second contact point element provided to the second contact piece in contact with the surface of the counterpart contact when the counterpart contact is inserted between the first contact piece and the second contact piece. At least one of the contact pieces has a first elastic part that has elasticity and is capable of being displaced in a direction orthogonal to the plate thickness. Providing a part curved in the plate thickness direction between the branching part of the contact pieces and the contact point elements allows the connector to adapt to the space allowed to the connector while maintaining a sufficient elastic force. The contact may have first and second contact pieces that differ in length and shape, but maintaining the contact points at the same position makes it possible to prevent a rotational moment received by the counterpart contact at the time of fitting.
Electrical contact with multiple contact points having equivalent normal force
An electrical connector includes a mating section for receiving the mating tab therein. The mating section has a first contact arm and a second contact arm. The first contact arm is spaced from the second contact arm by a first slot. The first contact arm has a first length which is different than a second length of the second contact arm. A first normal force exerted by the first contact arm on the mating tab is equal to a second normal force exerted by the second contact arm.
Electrical terminal and electrical connector in vertical compression contact with chip module
An electrical terminal includes a base, a first elastic arm and a second elastic arm formed side by side by extending upwardly from an upper end of the base, and a protruding portion. The first elastic arm has a mating portion, and the second elastic arm has a contact portion. The protruding portion protrudes and extends from a first side of the first elastic arm, and the first side of the first elastic arm is adjacent to the second elastic arm. A lower surface of the protruding portion has a contact surface overlapping with the contact portion in a vertical direction, such that the contact portion upwardly abuts the contact surface. When the chip module presses downwardly on the electrical terminal, the contact portion can move on the contact surface, such that the chip module does not need to press downwardly on the contact portion with a relatively large pressure.
HIGH PERFORMANCE INTERPOSER AND CHIP SOCKET
An interposer configured for connecting offset arrays of signal pads on parallel surfaces. Contacts of the interposer have mating portions with multiple beams. One of the beams makes contact with a pad on a first of the surfaces and is deflected when the surfaces are pressed together with the interposer between them. A second of the beams is positioned so that the first beam presses into that second beam as the first beam deflects. The second beam may contact a central location on the first beam. An electrical path through the contact from a pad on the first surface to a pad on the second surface may be shorter when the first beam is pressed into the second beam than through the first beam alone. A shorter path may improve signal integrity. Moreover, the spring force of the contact may be set by the second beam.
Electrical connector and method for manufacturing same
An electrical connector includes at least one conductive terminal mounted to a housing. The conductive terminal has a body, two elastic arms formed by extending upward from the body, a conducting portion connected below the body and having a strip connecting portion to be connected to a first strip, and a connecting portion provided at an upper end of the body to be connected to a second strip to assist mounting and located between the two elastic arms. A method for manufacturing the electrical connector includes: forming at least one conductive terminal and a first strip connected thereto; connecting a second strip to the connecting portion of the conductive terminal; disconnecting the conducting portion of the conductive terminal and the first strip; operating the second strip to control the conductive terminal to be mounted to a housing; and releasing a control force of the second strip onto the conductive terminal.
PRESS FIT TERMINAL
A press fit terminal that includes a terminal metal fitting with a first end and a second end, the terminal metal fitting including: a pressure contact part that is at the first end and that is configured to be press-fit into a through-hole of a printed circuit board and made to be electrically conductive with a conductor at an inner surface of the through-hole, and a connecting part that is at the second end and that is configured to be connected to a mating member.
Electrical connecting assembly and electrical connector
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an electrical connecting assembly and an electrical connector. The electrical connecting assembly comprises two electrical connecting parts and a connecting part. Each of the electrical connecting parts comprises a main body comprising an electrical contacting component. The connecting part comprises a securing component. Two sides of the connecting part extend toward one direction and are connected with the two electrical connecting parts. The two electrical connecting parts are disposed symmetrically across the connecting part. A first electrical connector head comprises an electrical plugging member and the electrical connecting assembly assembled to the electrical plugging member. A second electrical connector head comprises an electrical connecting notch in which the electrical plugging member having the electrical connecting assembly is assembled. The electrical contacting component of the electrical connecting assembly abuts against two inner sidewall surfaces of the electrical connecting notch.
CONNECTOR AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTOR
A connector includes a first connector portion having a first contact point extending in a fitting direction and a second connector portion having a curved surface capable of inverting between a convex surface and a concave surface and a second contact point extending from the curved surface, the second contact point moving between a non-contacting position and a contacting position through inversion of the curved surface between the convex surface and the concave surface, the first connector portion being aligned with the second connector portion, with the second contact point being located at the non-contacting position, and the curved surface of the second connector portion being inverted so that the second contact point is switched to the contacting position, whereby the second contact point comes into contact with the first contact point to establish electrical connection between the first connector portion and the second connector portion.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND ASSEMBLY THEREOF
An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing extending in a horizontal direction and a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insulative housing. The electrical connector is provided with a first receiving cavity and a second receiving cavity which are arranged in an up-and-down arrangement in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. Each conductive terminals comprises a first contact portion extending upwardly into the first receiving cavity and a second contact portion extending downwardly into the second receiving cavity. The conductive terminals are used to electrically connect a pair of first and second electrical components which are respectively inserted into the first and second receiving cavity via the first and second contact portions. The electrical connector is provided with the receiving cavity for inserting the second electrical component, thereby facilitating the assembly of the second electrical component and the electrical connector.
