POWER-SOURCE CONNECTOR INCLUDING TERMINAL-CONTACT PREVENTION MECHANISM AND POWER-SOURCE CONNECTOR DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A power-source connector includes a power-source terminal and a housing that supports the power-source terminal. The housing includes at least two adjoining insertion ports, each partitioned by a partitioning member and through any of which an electrically conductive member is inserted, and a housing space, connected to the insertion ports. The power-source terminal includes a contact portion, disposed in the housing space and being contactable with the electrically conductive member inserted through any of the at least two adjoining insertion ports. The contact portion is disposed so as to extend across the at least two adjoining insertion ports.
CONNECTOR
A contact is provided with an engaging portion for engaging with a housing. The housing is provided with an insertion end portion for insertion of the contact, a connection end portion for connection to a partner connection target, a contact insertion hole, and an engagement arm extending in a cantilevered manner from the connection end portion toward the insertion end portion. The engagement arm includes an engaged portion for engaging with the engaging portion, and an extension arm portion extending from the engaged portion toward the insertion end portion. The extension arm portion faces an inner wall defining the contact insertion hole with a space therebetween, and restricts the flexing amount of the engagement arm by the tip side of the extension arm portion abutting against the inner wall when the engagement arm flexes.
Electrical connector system with multiple flexible terminal retaining beams
An electrical connector system including a connector having a terminal cavity within. The cavity has a rigid floor with a lock nib extending into the cavity, a first flexible beam extending into a rearward portion of the cavity and a second flexible beam extending into a forward portion. The first and second beams both overlie the floor. The system further includes a terminal having a top surface and a bottom surface defining a rigid lock edge. The terminal is received in the cavity such that the first beam engages a rearward portion of the top surface of the terminal and the second beam engages a forward portion of the top surface, thereby biasing the terminal towards the floor. The lock edge engages the lock nib, thereby preventing the terminal from being inadvertently withdrawn from the terminal receiving cavity. The connector may be formed by an additive manufacturing process.
CONNECTOR
It is aimed to provide a connector capable of dealing with a change in the number of poles without structurally changing a mating connector. Housings (11) for accommodating terminal fittings (12) electrically connectable to tab-like terminals (52) include a main housing (11M) having a locking structure (21) for locking a mating connector (52) and a plurality of types of sub-housings (11S) having different number of poles and selectively unitable with the main housing (11M). The main housing (11M) and the sub-housing (11S) are united by coupling side surfaces to each other. A tab insertion groove (25) into which the tab-like terminal (52) is to be inserted at the time of connection to the mating connector is formed in a coupling part of the united housings (11).
Connector assembly and home appliance including the connector assembly
A connector assembly includes a cap housing in which a first terminal is disposed, a plug in which a second terminal is disposed, and a terminal position assurance (TPA) member. The plug has a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The second end portion is inserted into the cap housing. A first end portion of the cap housing and the first end portion of the plug to which a wire is connected are each a coupling target. The TPA member is disposed at the coupling target. The TPA member includes a first block and a second block partitioned from one another in a circumferential direction of the wire.
CONNECTOR, MATCHED CONNECTOR AND CONNECTING ASSEMBLY
The invention discloses a connector, a connector, a matched connector, a matched connector and a connecting assembly. The connecting assembly includes the connector and the matched connector. A terminal fixing portion of the connector is provided with terminal accommodating cavities for accommodating connecting terminals. Separators for separating adjacent connecting terminals are disposed as protruding between the terminal accommodating cavities. The matched connector comprises insertion holes and isolating slots provided on a female end seat. The separators are inserted into the isolating slots. One end of the connecting terminal is disposed on the body of the connector, and the other end is held within the insertion hole and is connectable with a terminal connecting piece of the matched connector. The invention prevents connecting terminals from interfering with each other to provide a higher secure connection performance, while maintaining smaller spacing therebetween.
Box terminal with insertion limiter
An electric connector includes a housing that defines an interior space. An electric terminal is located within the interior space in an installed position. The electric terminal includes a terminal body and a plurality of terminal arms extend from the terminal body in an insertion direction on opposed sides of a terminal axis. The electric terminal also includes a wire connection portion that extends from the terminal body. A channel is defined on one of the housing and the electric terminal, and a projection is on the other of the housing and the electric terminal. The projection is located in the channel.
CONNECTOR WITH INTEGRATED PRIMARY LOCK REINFORCEMENT AND TERMINAL POSITION ASSURANCE
A connector assembly comprises a resilient primary lock for securing a wire terminal with a housing, a primary lock reinforcement (PLR) device, and a PLR actuator for moving the PLR device between pre- and fully-staged configurations. The PLR device is configured to move in response to contact by the PLR actuator as the housing components are mated together. The PLR actuator includes an elongated, tapered finger that wedges against the PLR device during housing mating. A method of reinforcing a primary lock of a connector assembly is also described.
Connector assembly with blocking member
A connector assembly and system assembling an electric connector assembly are provided. The connector assembly includes a connector housing having a plurality of terminal cavities greater than the predetermined number of electric connections so as to define an empty terminal cavity and a filled terminal cavity. The connector housing further includes a blocking member. The blocking member is the blocking member disposed within each of the empty terminal cavities. Accordingly, the blocking member closes off each of the empty terminal cavities so as to prevent fluid transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member so as to prevent fluid and debris transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member, or stated in another way, prevents fluid and debris transfer between the first open end and the second open end.
CONNECTOR WITH TERMINAL CARRIER LOCK AND INDIVIDUAL TPA RETENTION FEATURES
An electrical connector system includes a terminal carrier lock having a housing defining a cavity or a plurality of cavities. For each cavity, there is a forward stop structure on one side of the cavity and a primary terminal lock on the opposite side of the cavity. The forward stop structure has a terminal forward stop and a pre-lock retention ledge. The corresponding female shroud has a shroud housing defining a cavity or a plurality of cavities, and for each cavity there is a shroud retention feature for engaging the pre-lock retention ledge, and a positive lock retention surface and a terminal position assurance shelf on the inside of the housing facing the cavity. The connector system of the invention provides a terminal position assurance retention feature in each cavity.
