CONNECTOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY, CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

A connector housing assembly includes an inner housing, a cable seal and a housing seal. The inner housing defines a plurality of terminal mounting holes for fixedly mounting a plurality of terminals. The cable seal is installed in the inner housing and is adapted to form a seal between the inner housing and a cable extending into the inner housing. The housing seal is sleeved on an outer side of the inner housing and is adapted to form a seal between the inner housing and a mating housing of a mating connector.

Low profile edge connector and system using same

An edge connector is configured to connect to a circuit board. The edge connector includes a base wall, a first terminal mount extending upwardly from the base wall, the first terminal mount having a plurality of passageways, terminals mounted in the passageways, a second terminal mount extending upwardly from the base wall, the second terminal being spaced from the first terminal mount, the second terminal mount having a plurality of passageways extending therethrough, terminals mounted in the passageways of the second terminal mount, and a moveable latch extending from the upper surface of the base wall, the latch positioned between the first and second terminal mounts. Each terminal mount extends along part of the length of the base wall such that a platform is formed by the upper surface of the base wall rearwardly of the terminal mounts. A latch protection wall extends from each terminal mount to the rear end of the base wall, and the latch protection walls are proximate to the latch.

TERMINAL FITTING

It is aimed to prevent a reduction in connection reliability. A terminal fitting is to be mounted into a housing having a board accommodation space and is provided with a connection terminal including a resilient contact piece to be brought into contact with a circuit board inserted into the board accommodation space and a protection terminal separate from the connection terminal and attached to the connection terminal. The connection terminal is movable with respect to the protection terminal between a protection position where the resilient contact piece is accommodated in the protection terminal and a connection position where the resilient contact piece is exposed to outside of the protection terminal to be contactable with the circuit board.

A terminal fitting is to be mounted into a housing having a board accommodation space and is provided with a connection terminal including a resilient contact piece to be brought into contact with a circuit board inserted into the board accommodation space and a protection terminal separate from the connection terminal and attached to the connection terminal. The connection terminal is movable with respect to the protection terminal between a protection position where the resilient contact piece is accommodated in the protection terminal and a connection position where the resilient contact piece is exposed to outside of the protection terminal to be contactable with the circuit board.

The cover is moveable between an open position and a closed position relative to the base. The cover has a projection disposed within the cover recess when the cover is in the closed position.

The insulator is preferably formed using an additive manufacturing process, such as stereolithography, digital light processing, fused deposition modeling, fused filament fabrication, selective laser sintering, selecting heat sintering, multi-jet modeling, multi-jet fusion, electronic beam melting, laminated object manufacturing, or 3D printing.

The overstress feature of the tang member of the lever is improved upon by relocating and reshaping the protruding member thereof. The configuration or shape of the cross-section across the upper portion and the support member at the front end portion of the main body of the electrical female terminal is substantially U-shaped. The configuration or shape of the cross-section across the attached end portion of the lever member of the electrical female terminal is also substantially U-shaped. The electrical female terminal is formed as a continuous and contiguous single construction having included therein at least the main body, the two-bodied spring, and the wire fastening portion and/or the lever member (or tang member), along with the neck member that joins the main body and the wire fastening portion.
