ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
A power adapter assembly includes a first adapter and a second adapter. The first adapter comprises a first housing, pluralities of first electrical terminals and first signal terminals. The second adapter comprises a second housing, pluralities of second electrical terminals and second signal terminals. When the first adapter and the second adapter match with each other, a first latching element is axially coupled with the second latching element to a first position, wherein the two electrical terminals are coupled with each other. When an external force is provided, the first housing is radial with respect to the second housing, and rotates with each other until the two latching elements move to a second position to be securely fastened. The two signal terminals are coupled with each other to send an enabling signal to the control module, so as to enable the power transmission between the two electrical terminals.
Electrical receptacle with prong receptacles within a front plate thickness
An electrical receptacle including a body having a plurality of electrical connections, a device face connected to the body and movable with respect to the body, a plurality of electrical plug contacts positioned behind the device face, and wherein the electrical plug contacts retain an electrical plug prong at a first tension when the device face is in a first position and the electrical plug contacts retain the electrical plug prong at a second tension when the device face is in a second position.
Locking electrical device
An electrical receptacle including a body having a plurality of electrical connections, a device face connected to the body and movable with respect to the body, a plurality of electrical plug contacts positioned behind the device face, and wherein the electrical plug contacts retain an electrical plug prong at a first tension when the device face is in a first position and the electrical plug contacts retain the electrical plug prong at a second tension when the device face is in a second position.
Tamper resistant mechanism for electrical wiring devices
Tamper resistant cartridges for electrical devices are provided. The tamper resistant cartridges include a housing and one or more tamper resistant assemblies configured to normally block access to electrical contacts with the electrical device, and to permit access to such electrical contacts when the line phase prongs of a plug are inserted into the electrical device.
Electrical connector with a contact holder having transverse openings to receive fasteners
A receptacle and/or a plug of an electrical connector includes a proximal body portion defining transverse alignment slots extending through a side of the proximal body portion for contacts. A plug of an electrical connector includes a safety disk. The safety disk includes a hollow stem having at least one prong slidably inserted through a groove and captured within a central axial passage of a housing.
SAFETY SOCKET
A safety socket (100) for protecting against a series fault comprises a thermal switch (30; 31) mounted in the socket (100) and configured to interrupt the supply current when a detected temperature exceeds a threshold temperature. The safety socket (100) further comprises an indicator (8; 10; 80) for indicating the socket (100) when the detected temperature exceeds the threshold temperature.
Electrical outlet with female member moveable between connected and disconnected portions
An electrical outlet has a female member with at least two electrically conductive contact sleeves for the reception of the pins on a plug inserted in the female member and a connector arrangement for connection of the electrical outlet to a mains supply. The female member is movable relative to the connector arrangement between a first mode, in which the contact sleeves are electrically disconnected from the mains supply, and a second mode, in which contact sleeves are electrically connected to a mains supply. The connector arrangement include a connection ring and a mounting plate. The connector arrangement further include connection plates, whose number corresponds to the number of contact sleeves on the female member, wherein each contact sleeve is brought in or out of contact with a connection plate by movement of the female member.
TAMPER-RESISTANT ELECTRICAL OUTLET COVERS
Tamper-resistant electrical outlet covers may include a wall plate, at least one cover arm rotatably coupled to the wall plate, and a locking mechanism configured to maintain the cover arm in a closed position covering an electrical outlet when the locking mechanism is locked. The locking mechanism may be unlocked to allow the cover arm to rotated to an open position exposing the electrical outlet. Various other methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.
SOCKET-OUTLET EQUIPPED WITH A DISC AND A SHUTTER
A socket-outlet comprising a fixed element, a disc having through holes for passing the pins of a plug, the disc being rotationally movable about the axial direction with respect to the fixed element between a protection position and a connection position, and a shutter rotationally movable about the axial direction with respect to the fixed element and with respect to the disc between a closing position wherein the shutter closes at least one hole of the disc when the disc is in the protection position and an open position wherein the shutter opens up the at least one hole when the disc is in the connection position.
