TAMPER RESISTANT ELECTRICAL OUTLET
A tamper resistant electrical outlet maintains its electrical contacts in a non-energized state until an object is inserted into an outlet opening for a different electrical contact. In this way, an object contacting the electrical contact behind one contact opening will not be subjected to electrical current unless another object is simultaneously inserted sufficiently far into another outlet opening. Insertion of an object, such as the prong of an electrical plug, into either outlet opening will move an actuator, thereby moving a respective live contact toward the electrical contact that is associated with the other outlet opening. Although the electrical outlet does not preclude objects from being inserted into its outlet openings and engaging the associated electrical contacts, only by simultaneous insertion of two different objects (such as two prongs of an electrical plug) into the different outlet openings will the electrical contacts become energized.
Automation compatible spring assisted single part tamper resistant shutter mechanism for wiring device product
A shutter assembly for a tamper-resistant electrical receptacle includes a shutter, a base clip, and a spring. The shutter is coupled at one end by the spring to the rear side of an individual outlet cover of the electrical receptacle, and two multi-sloped blocking mechanisms of the shutter block access to the live electrical terminals from the hot and neutral slots of the outlet cover when a plug is not inserted into the outlet. The shutter comprises a fulcrum that rests on the base clip, which allows one end of the shutter to interlock with divots formed in the rear side of the outlet cover and the other end of the shutter to interlock with the base clip in order to prevent access to the live electrical terminals when an object is inserted into only one of the hot or neutral slots of the individual outlet cover, or when an object is inserted into the outlet cover at a tilted angle.
ADAPTER FOR CONNECTING BATTERY AND ELECTRICAL DEVICE
An adapter may be configured to connect a battery and an electrical device to each other. The adapter may include a control board; a battery-side terminal mounted on a first surface of the control board and configured to be electrically connectable to the battery; and a device-side terminal mounted on a second surface of the control board and configured to be electrically connectable to the electrical device, the second surface being opposite from the first surface.
Vehicle unit comprising a charging connection, and charging device for charging a battery of an electric vehicle
A vehicle unit comprising a charging connection for charging a battery of an electric vehicle, where the vehicle unit is provided in the floorpan of the electric vehicle, and the charging connection is designed to be connected to a contacting element on a plane running parallel to the floorpan.
CONNECTOR
A connector includes a housing configured to accommodate a connection terminal, a slide shutter configured to open and close a front opening of the housing to which a mating connector is to be fitted, a first shutter inclined surface provided on the slide shutter, and a housing inclined surface provided on the housing so as to face the first shutter inclined surface and configured to slide the slide shutter in a direction intersecting a connector fitting direction to open the front opening in accordance with a pressing force applied in the connector fitting direction by the mating connector.
Connector cover structure for casing housing a high-voltage component
Provided is a connector cover structure that can fasten a connector cover without support for the connector cover with a finger and showing a high degree of assembly of a cover member in fabrication. The connector cover structure covers connects 61 and 62 for passage of high-voltage current provided in a casing 51 housing a high-voltage component in a vehicle 10. The connector cover structure includes connector covers 71 and 72 each having a flat surface along a vertical direction, first anchoring parts 91 and second anchoring parts 74 provided in the connector covers 71 and 72, fastening holes 92 formed in the connector covers 71 and 72 and configured to fasten the connector covers 71 and 72 to the casing 51, and float preventing mechanisms 95 for pressing the surfaces of the connector covers 71 and 72.
TAMPER RESISTANT MECHANISM FOR ELECTRICAL WIRING DEVICES
Tamper resistant cartridges for electrical devices are provided. The tamper resistant cartridges include a housing and one or more tamper resistant assemblies configured to normally block access to electrical contacts with the electrical device, and to permit access to such electrical contacts when the line phase prongs of a plug are inserted into the electrical device.
WATER RESISTANT ELECTRICAL DEVICES
An electrical outlet device includes water-resistant components to prevent the ingress of water to electrical components. One example includes a faceplate having a front surface, an outer edge extending around the front surface, and a first outlet opening extending through the front surface. A water-resistant seal is connected to the front surface of the faceplate. The seal has a first slit aligned with the first opening, a first flap adjacent the slit, and a second flap adjacent the slit. The first flap and the second flap are resiliently biased to a closed position and are moveable upon insertion of a plug.
SHOCKPROOF ELECTRICAL SOCKET
A shockproof electrical socket is connected to a plug comprising a first latch and a second latch. The socket comprises a shell, a first elastic sheet, a second elastic sheet, a first elastic contact mechanism configured to connect the first elastic sheet and the first latch, and a second elastic contact mechanism configured to connect the second elastic sheet and the second latch. The first elastic contact mechanism comprises a first insulation block connected to the shell through a first elastic piece. The first elastic sheet is connected to the shell through a second elastic piece. The second elastic contact mechanism comprises a second insulation block connected to the shell through a third elastic piece. The second elastic sheet is connected to the shell through a fourth elastic piece.
